Role Summary:
The Smile Trian UK Senior Manager, Individual Giving leads on the development and delivery of the individual donor offline fundraising program, responsible for the acquisition, retention, upgrade and reactivation of individual donors through various channels including Direct Mail, DRTV, Telemarketing and SMS and Print. Employing a test-and-learn approach across the programme and liaising closely with the Digital Fundraising Director and the Direct Marketing Global Working Group, the role contributes to the development of Smile Train’s global fundraising strategy.
Serving as the local subject matter expert in direct marketing and fundraising data, you will translate complex data into easy-to-understand takeaways for the UK Fundraising Director and senior leadership ensuring that Smile Train is able to efficiently and effectively raise funds to continue transforming the lives of our beneficiaries.
This is a full-time, hybrid opportunity starting as soon as possible. Ability to travel, when necessary, for agency partner visits and organizational events is required.
Reports To: UK Fundraising Director
General Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the UK Director of Fundraising in the development of the offline Individual Giving Strategy and other key initiatives and keep them updated and fully briefed regarding their implementation
- Line-manage the Database Manager and Supporter Experience Officer
- Develop engaging donor acquisition and retention campaigns
- Utilise data to inform and strategically target key donor segments
- Create and execute direct communications to our valued supporters
- Ensure all offline direct marketing campaigns are completed on time and within budget
- Management of all campaign delivery, including post analysis
- Reporting to senior stakeholders on performance of the offline individual giving programme
Specific Responsibilities:
Direct Mail
- Execute offline acquisition and retention campaigns including review of direct mail kit laser and insertion samples for quality control
- Effectively manage external agency partners and provide strategic direction on all direct mail campaigns
- Conduct testing to optimise creative and evaluate results to make data-driven decisions for future mail concepts
- Manage direct mail creative development, ensure brand compliance and provide directive on content/messaging
- Participate in weekly production call with creative and production agencies to review status of deliverables for all campaigns
DRTV
- Execute all aspects of Direct Response Television (DRTV) donor acquisition program, including:

- Set-up of inbound telemarketing and SMS with telemarketing agency
- Manage creative review and development
- Manage weekly performance review and provide updates and recommendations to vendor
- Review and approve media buying plans
- Manage source code assignment and upload to database
- Management of external creative, media and contact centre agencies
- Strategic planning, performance monitoring and reporting
Sustainer Program
- Manage all monthly Direct Debit and other regular individual donations
- Manage the execution of the donor journey for all regular donors and the conversion, upgrade and reactivation efforts
Other Duties
- Working with external agencies, develop effective testing methodology to inform long-term investment decisions
- Execute all offline acquisition campaigns in diversification of new donor sources (e.g. Package Inserts)
- Approve cost estimates and media plans ensuring spend to budget across all campaigns
- Build and manage the offline individual giving programme budget across all channels
- Manage all invoice processing and complete monthly accruals for Finance
- Other duties as appropriate for this role.

Required Education and Experience:
- 5+ years of progressive experience in a direct marketing role, proven track record in planning and delivering effective direct marketing campaigns across a range of channels including Direct Mail, DRTV, Telemarketing, SMS and Print channels
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field, although an equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for this required level of education.
- Skilled with modern and traditional marketing and fundraising channels
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive decision-making
- Able to take ownership of a process and to use problem solving skills to resolve issues.
- Fluency in a donor CRM, experience with Salesforce preferred

Role Summary: The Social Media & Communications Intern will support the Communications team in strengthening Smile Train’s digital presence. The role involves managing and creating content for LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and other platforms to drive engagement and visibility. This role offers hands-on experience in digital content strategy, campaign execution, event support, and cross-team collaboration within a high-impact environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the LinkedIn page under the guidance of the Communications team and plan content to drive traffic.
- Assist in developing YouTube content plan, coordinate with the program team, set up sessions with partners and execute video recording and uploading on the page.
- Develop three social media campaigns independently to help drive engagement on Instagram.
- Support in writing, proof reading and editing communications materials – for website, social media and Smile Train collaterals etc.
- Curation and documentation of existing photo and video assets.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of any events that may take place during the internship period (e.g. – National Cleft Awareness, World Health Day).
- Coordinate with the media agency to develop high quality graphics and visually appealing content for social media.
- Be constantly in the lookout for interesting success stories. Coordinate with Smile Train partners to shortlist patient profiles and execute the success story documentation project.
- Coordinate with different teams within and outside the organization to collect reports, information to develop communication materials and execute various campaigns.
- Write stories/blogs, reports, and minutes of various meetings.
- Any other related tasks to support the Communications unit.
Required Education and Experience: Pursuing a graduate degree or have completed a graduate program in Mass Communications, Development Communication, Public Relations (PR), or Journalism from an accredited university.
Preferred Education and Experience: A graduate or postgraduate in Mass Communications or Journalism from a reputed university.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

We are looking for Program Manager to join our team in the Philippines. He/she will support the development and implementation of Smile Train programs across his/her assigned regions and provinces in the Philippines. The Program Manager is expected to manage various administrative tasks, working with partners, and reporting to donors to ensure effective implementation of Smile Train programs, in line with regional and global objectives and guidelines.
The Program Manager will report to the Area Director for Southeast Asia. This is a full-time role based in the Philippines, starting as soon as possible. Significant domestic travel is expected (approximately 50%).
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Support Area Director for Southeast Asia to implement program activities at partner hospitals in assigned regions and provinces, including the continuous monitoring of progress towards financial, programmatic, and medical (i.e. Smile Train’s safety and quality protocol) compliance.
- Maintain consistent communication and good working relationships with existing partner hospitals, visit hospitals and conduct site visits as requested/needed, and work together to ensure the success of current and future programs.
- Receive, review, and analyze grant requests from local stakeholders, carry out ‘due diligence’ to advise supervisors on whether the requests are in line with Smile Train’s overall strategy and requirements.
- Work with various local vendors to ensure effective and on-time implementation of Smile Train programs.
- Gathering information to develop reports to local donors as requested.
- Maintain good communication with local donors, including receiving and attending to their requests (additional reports, gatherings of information and materials for communications, etc.).
- Develop resources or generate internal reports as needed/requested (this may include material translation).
- Help grow the organization’s brand and raise awareness for Smile Train programs by:
- supporting efforts to share Smile Train’s global messaging locally;
- upholding and furthering best practices in comprehensive cleft care;
- gathering marketing content (e.g. photos/videos/stories, etc.);
- organizing and hosting visits by Smile Train ambassadors, donors/supporters and staff;
- and, supporting supervisors in maintaining good communications and working relationships with all key external stakeholders (e.g. medical professionals, social and voluntary organizations, government functionaries, media, and patients/families).
- Serve as a point of contact for operations within the assigned regions and provinces, communicate regularly with Area Director for Southeast Asia and Regional Director for Asia, and keep the Management informed about all the significant developments and key plans.
- Proactively respond and work with supervisor and Smile Train regional and global teams so as to keep communication channels open, projects integrated, and the organization moving together.
Essential Selection Criteria
- Bachelor's degree and/or higher academic level (master’s degree) in Public Health, Business, Social Sciences, Public Relations or any related course.
- At least 10 years work experience in a leadership or managerial position in reputable non-profit (global charity and NGOs) or for-profit organizations. Experience in fundraising is a plus.

Role Summary
The Data Architect designs and governs Smile Train’s enterprise data architecture and data platform to ensure data is trusted, well-modeled, secure, and ready for analytics and AI. This role supports Smile Train Express (STX), our patient health records platform, by defining canonical models, integration patterns, and semantic layers that enable consistent reporting, self-service analytics, and responsible AI use cases.
Key contributor to Smile Train’s Data & AI future-state architecture, including ELT-first ingestion, tiered Lakehouse storage, governance/security by design, and governed BI/semantic consumption.

Architecture & Design
Design end-to-end enterprise data architecture spanning ingestion, storage, processing, semantic layer, and consumption to support analytics and AI.
Translate business requirements into conceptual, logical, and physical data models; define conformed dimensions and subject-area data products.
Define canonical models and interoperability patterns that connect STX and other enterprise systems and enable cross-department reporting.
Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture principles, roadmaps, and the Data & AI future state architecture (automation-first, tiered storage, governed access).
Standards, Governance & Quality
Establish and maintain data modeling, naming, and metadata standards; partner with governance stakeholders to implement catalog, glossary, lineage, and data quality rules.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
7+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, BI, or data architecture, with 3+ years in a lead/architect role (preferred).
Proven expertise in data modeling (3NF, dimensional/star schema, semantic models; Data Vault a plus).
Strong SQL skills and experience designing enterprise data platforms for analytics; experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) preferred.
Experience with metadata management, lineage, governance, and data quality practices; familiarity with catalog/governance tools is a plus.

Role Summary:
Junior Accountant – Program Accounting reports to Manager – Program Accounting and collaborates closely with the Finance team to ensure all day-to-day transactions are recorded on a timely basis in compliance with General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Key Responsibilities:
- Support accounts payable activities for Programs and Grants by ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments, overseeing financial data collection for compliance with Smile Train policies, posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and preparing special reports.
- Review and maintain vendor banking information within both the bank system and internal systems.

The Role
The Systems Engineer is responsible for supporting and maintaining Smile Train’s hybrid infrastructure environment, including on-premises systems and cloud services. Experience and Expertise
We are seeking a strategic, detail-oriented professional with nonprofit fundraising experience and a proven track record in donor stewardship. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of the donor lifecycle and how thoughtful engagement drives long-term philanthropic support across diverse revenue streams.
Required Qualifications
- Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to craft compelling donor narratives and impact-driven messaging.
- Advanced project management expertise, with a demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives from concept to execution.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Asana (or other project management tools), with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Robust CRM experience, preferably with Salesforce or Raiser’s Edge, including data analysis and donor segmentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in philanthropy, marketing, communications, nonprofit management, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a fundraising or nonprofit development role, ideally within a large, mission-driven organization.
- Experience developing high-impact collateral for major donors, corporate partners, and foundations across print and digital platforms.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage sensitive donor relationships and collaborate across departments.
- Self-starter with a strategic mindset, capable of working independently while driving team-wide initiatives.
- Detail-oriented and analytical, with a passion for continuous improvement and data-informed decision-making.
- Collaborative team player, with a positive attitude and a sense of humor.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a large, complex nonprofit organization, with a preference for candidates who have worked in healthcare systems and higher education development environments.
- Familiarity with major gift, mid-level, planned giving, and corporate/foundation fundraising strategies.
- Deep understanding of donor lifecycle management and how stewardship supports donor retention and growth.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams.

Role Summary
Smile Train seeks an Associate, Education & Training. [Reporting to the Manager, Research and Education,] the Associate will play a key role in Smile Train’s efforts to ensure every child has access to safe, high-quality, comprehensive cleft care. This role has a significant technical and data-focused component, supporting global education and training (E&T) initiatives through structured data collection systems, assessment analytics, and ongoing development and maintenance of training content across 75+ countries. This full-time, hybrid role requires a commitment to working from Smile Train’s New York City based headquarters twice weekly.
Key Responsibilities
Organizational E&T Data Collection (Technical & Analytical)
- Coordinate the pre- and post-training assessment processes, ensuring consistent data collection across all training types and all regional teams
- Monitor data quality using standardized checks, flag data anomalies, and work with regional teams to improve adherence to data collection protocols
- Analyze training assessment results, including knowledge gains, outcomes trends, and longitudinal performance across countries, training types, and learner groups
- Support systematic housing, organization, and governance of trainee and training impact data, including LMS-based or digital platform–based repositories used across 75+ countries
- Compile internal and external reporting on training implementation, participation, and impact
- Support tracking and data management for fellowship programs globally, including monitoring fellow progress, documentation compliance, and post-program placement outcomes
Global E&T Conference Presence
- Oversee logistics and administration for Smile Train’s conference involvement, including partner logistics and stipends, partner abstract support, awareness/booth presence, promotional/branding materials, Smile Train-led events, follow-up surveys, staff attendance, and shipping needs
- Create and distribute reference and informational materials for staff and partners during conferences to maximize engagement and communication
- Support post-conference data analysis and development of final reports for dissemination across departments
Global E&T Initiatives & Partnerships
- Provide logistical, communications, and documentation support for global fellowship programs and partnerships (e.g., ACPA Visiting Scholar Program, WFSA Fellowships, Chang Gung Fellowship)
- Assist with planning and execution of international mentorship programs (i.e., Mentoring Alliance for Global Cleft Surgery (MAG-CS)), including participant recruitment, onboarding, technical support, progress tracking, and impact data management
- Support development, implementation, and technical maintenance of global E&T initiatives such as webinar series, digital educational resources, patient-facing materials, and continuing education opportunities
- Support the Communications and Development departments in showcasing key E&T initiatives and projects to Smile Train stakeholders through annual reports, social media, and other strategic channels.
Training Curriculum Maintenance & Improvement
- Lead updates to existing Smile Train training curricula (translations, branding updates, content revisions, technical enhancements)
- Incorporate learner feedback, performance data, and trainer insights into continuous curriculum improvement
- Serve as primary liaison with translation service providers, ensuring timely processing, coordinated review workflows, and ongoing quality assurance
- Support content implementation within the organization’s learning management system (LMS) or similar platforms, including uploading, version control, course configuration, and user management
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, healthcare/health professions, data analytics, education, instructional design, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience analyzing datasets (Excel, Power BI, or similar) and summarizing insights for decision-making
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills
- Superb written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to large groups
- Excellent cross-cultural communication skills and sensitivity to global contexts; willingness to work across multiple time zones
- Tech-savvy with ability to quickly learn new software or data tools
- Ability to manage deadlines and shifting priorities; proven experience handling multiple concurrent projects
- Self-starter and team player who proactively offers strategic ideas and solves problems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, conditional formulas, charts).

Preferred Education and Experience
- Master’s degree in public health, healthcare/health professions, data analytics, education, instructional design, or a related technical field
- Fluency in Spanish, French, or Portuguese
- Experience working or training in LMIC contexts

- Experience with data collection tools (e.g., REDCap, Qualtrics)
