OUR VALUES We enrich through a broad and varied curriculum Job Description Job Title: Line Manager: Department: Job Summary Teacher of PE & Games (maternity cover) Director of Sport Sports To contribute to the delivery of high-quality PE and Games across both Tormead Prep and Senior Schools, while supporting the wide-ranging co-curricular sports clubs and weekly fixtures. A specialism in netball would be advantageous. Main Responsibilities Teaching: • Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging PE and Games lessons across Prep and Senior School age groups. • Support the organisation and delivery of co-curricular sports clubs before, during, and after school. • Assist with the planning, coaching, and supervision of competitive fixtures during the week and, when required, at weekends. • Promote skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship among pupils of all abilities. • Contribute to the development of netball provision within the school, including training sessions and team management, where appropriate. • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent, high-quality sporting experience across both schools. • Maintain high standards of pupil behaviour, safeguarding, and health and safety during lessons, clubs, and fixtures. • Support the organisation of sports events, tournaments, and whole-school activities. • Provide feedback on pupil progress and contribute to assessments and reports as required. • Act as a positive role model, inspiring participation, enthusiasm, and a lifelong enjoyment of sport. Main Responsibilities Recruitment: • Draft job adverts and descriptions, advertise vacancies using the new HR system (IRIS Recruitment) and external platforms. • Upload vacancies, screen candidates and support line managers during the shortlisting process via IRIS Recruitment. • Organise interview schedules, prepare interview packs and support logistical arrangements to ensure a smooth candidate interview experience. • Manage the recruitment email box, responding promptly to enquiries and maintaining clear and professional communication with candidates. Identify any candidate employment history gaps for discussion at interview. • • Communicate interview outcomes and manage candidate feedback. • Act in accordance with safer recruitment guidelines.
