As a Positive Behaviour Support Partner you will believe in our ethos and values, and you will want to make a difference in someone’s life. The primary purpose of the PBS team is to lead on the day to day delivery of Positive Behaviour Support within the service, including the creation, continuous development and implementation of Positive Behavioural Support Plans. This will be carried out through regular assessment and observations of the people we support.
The PBS team work closely with staff teams to provide a consistent person centred approach, to share good practice, advise and upskill in the principles of PBS.
Key Responsibilities
- The timely construction of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Plans.
- Review and adaptation of PBS plans in response to the level of need and best practice.
- Gathering information from a range of sources; direct observation, written, verbal and through supportive questioning of the person and support staff.
- Liaison with staff teams across the patch to aid with broader behavioural support needs.
- Support Team Managers to implement PBS plans.
- Work in collaboration with Health and social care professionals involved in the care and support of our individuals.
- Support teams to create their own specific aids for the people we care for such as social stories, augmentative communication aids and sensory support.
- Ability to coach, mentor and act as a positive role model, consistently demonstrating best practice in documentation and recording standards (e.g., incident reports, ABC charts).

As a Registered Manager you will believe in our ethos and values. - To be responsible for and take accountability for the maintenance of registration standards as laid down in CQC guidance and as regulated by the Commission for Quality Care
- To have knowledge and understanding of the New Single Framework.
- To ensure that the provision of care exceeds the National Standard outlined by CQC support provide in a person-centered way, using person-centered approaches
- The registered manager will take an active role in the implementation, promotion and development of service within the organisation, and the implementation of policies and procedures relating to service delivery

- The registered manager will be responsible for liaising with Heads of Operations regarding the provision of the service for new referrals
- The day to day management and administration of the home in accordance with statutory regulations and departmental policies
- The promotion of an environment conducive to a high standard of care in which individuals can participate, according to their capacity and wishes
- To be responsible for the recruitment and induction of staff for the services, ensuring that they meet the required behaviors and competence for the role, and is in line with organisational policies including service user involvement
- To ensure that processes are in place to protect confidentiality of personal information and ensure that the information is only disclosed to those who have a right and need to know
- To lead on the promotion of non-discriminatory practices
- To ensure effective communication channels are in place, in order to satisfy the needs of the individual, their family, local authorities and any other relevant party
Accountability
- Ensure each member of staff receives regular supervisions and observations
- In consultation with Line Manager and training department assist with the implementation “in house” of staff induction and mentor support for all new staff
- Once new staff have completed their induction and probationary period implement the performance management and support processes
- Oversee the rota system, ensuring the most effective use of staff time to the benefit of service users and organisational requirements
- The registered manager will ensure that they adhere to Autism Plus policies work closely with HR department
Manage Quality
- Promote and maintain a quality service in line with statutory requirements and Autism Plus guidelines, and ensure that all staff are familiar with and adhere to these requirements
- Create and maintain an environment which has the capacity to respond to service user’s individual needs
- Actively promote and maintain close working partnerships with parents, families and other significant professionals significant to the lives of service users, in order to promote their best interest
- Ensure all individuals within the service have all necessary support documentation, a named key worker and a person centred plan in place.Ensure all staff are aware of such plans and adhere to them at all times
- Promote and maintain procedures, which, in line with Autism Plus policies will ensure an adequate level of emotional and physical health care for all service users
- Ensure that professional assistance is sought where necessary or required
- Ensure that guidelines for the safe keeping of medication is available for all staff and that these are adhered to at all times
- Undertakes regular assessments and audits of performance, and prepares any necessary action plans for improvement
Management Responsibilities
- Be responsible for all aspects of day to day management
- Ensure that health and safety legislation is met within the homes
- Ensure the homes are maintained in good repair, and raise maintenance requests should any work be required
- Be responsible for good record keeping with particular attention to Safeguarding, regulation forms, fire and accident recording and reporting
- Promote a positive image at all times
- Ensuring the homes budget is maintained and remains within the financial boundaries
- Be responsible for appropriate record keeping for all aspects of the daily running of the home
