The Audit and Probity Committee reports directly to CIMSPA’s Board of Trustees and is a crucial part of our governance structure, overseeing our risk landscape. By ensuring that risk is adequately managed and that the organisation is governed with integrity, the committee guides CIMSPA’s strategic decision-making processes. Alongside this, the committee provides oversight, challenge and scrutiny across a range of areas, including our internal controls and our financial performance and management.
We are looking for someone who shares our belief in our vision and who is committed to the highest levels of governance, risk management and assurance. However, an in-depth knowledge of the sport and physical activity sector is not essential.
Specialisms
Based on the committee’s annual skills review, we have identified the following specialisms as a priority for recruitment:
- Government and policymaking
- Legal and regulatory
Therefore, we are seeking to appoint a committee member with significant experience in at least one of these areas.
Core Skills
We also expect all committee members to have significant experience in one or more of the following:
- Finance
- Audit and risk
- Governance and compliance
- Our system interventions (as detailed in our strategy)
- Business and commercial
- Digital
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ensuring that the committee fulfils its purpose as stated in its Terms of Reference.
- Ensuring that the committee complies with CIMSPA’s Charter and Statutes, charity law, company law and all other relevant legislation/regulations as they relate to the committee.
- Managing CIMSPA’s resources responsibly and honestly, with a duty of prudence.
- Working in partnership with CIMSPA’s CEO or senior leadership team to ensure the strategic aims of the organisation are achieved as they relate to the committee, maintaining a management and oversight role.
- Ensuring that the committee is accountable.

What you’ll bring:

Join our Workforce Development team and play a key role in growing the profile of CIMSPA through professional recognition, partnerships and local skills. You’ll lead on delivering local Sport & Physical Activity Skills Plans, build long-term employer relationships, and drive engagement with CIMSPA’s professional pathways in your region as part of our UK-wide team. Teamwork, peer learning and innovation are central to successfully delivering against our commercial and Sport England targets.
We’re looking for a natural people-connector with strong partnership management experience, commercial acumen, and a deep understanding of the sport and physical activity sector. In this role you’ll spend significant time working with our stakeholders and influencing at all levels, supporting employers to develop and recognise their workforce, and driving a more skilled, impactful workforce in the sector.
You’ll have a track record of meeting targets, generating income across multiple revenue streams, and understanding education and workforce development needs. To really thrive in this role, you will be someone who communicates with ease and genuinely connects with people. Extensive travel across the Midlands and regular time at our Loughborough Head Office (expenses covered) are required.

Key tasks include but are not limited to:
Relationship & Account Management
- Build and maintain strong employer partnerships, using local insight to shape skills plans.
- Promote professional recognition and support employers to engage with CIMSPA pathways.
- Manage a partner portfolio to retain relationships, grow income, and prevent churn.
- Lead workforce planning discussions to understand employer skills needs.
- Convert prospective leads into active partners and support effective onboarding with internal teams.
Income Generation
- Drive commercial income through partnerships and professional status growth.
- Meet set income targets by converting new employers and increasing yield from existing partners.
- Support accreditation, reaccreditation and professional status upgrades.
- Develop skills development proposals and identify new revenue opportunities.
Local Influencing
- Lead the development and delivery of local skills plans with regional stakeholders.
- Advocate for accredited and endorsed learning across employers and education providers.
- Strengthen links between CIMSPA, employers, and education institutions to align skills with workforce needs.
- Position CIMSPA within wider local and cross-sector skills initiatives.
Tracking & Measurement
- Monitor and report on partnership activity, income performance, and skills plan progress.
- Use Dynamics CRM to manage data, track interactions, and support reporting on trends.
Communication
- Work with Marcomms, accreditation, and education teams to create content, support onboarding, and align development opportunities.
- Represent CIMSPA at events and engage stakeholders through clear, influential communication.
Salary: £38,865 per annum Closing date:

As a Youth Panel Member, you will act as a champion for young adults, helping to ensure that the views, experiences and perspectives of young people influence CIMSPA’s strategy, decisions and priorities. You will work with CIMSPA’s executive team and support the Board of Trustees by sharing insight, offering constructive challenge and helping drive positive change.
You will bring your own lived experience, challenge the status quo where needed, and help CIMSPA find new and better ways to engage with young people. You will be expected to carry out your role in line with CIMSPA’s values and behaviours, contributing positively to a high-performing and respectful Youth Panel.
Role requirements
To apply, you must:
- Be aged between 16 and 25 at the point of appointment.
- Commit to attending up to five Youth Panel meetings per year.
- Be willing to attend Board of Trustees meetings on a rotational basis.
- Complete any preparation required ahead of meetings.
- Act in line with CIMSPA’s values, behaviours, safeguarding and conduct expectations.
What you will gain
You will take part in a 24-month Youth Panel development programme, designed to support your personal and professional growth. This includes access to development opportunities such as job application support, interview skills and wider employability development.
You will be appointed for a 24-month term, with the opportunity to remain on the Youth Panel until you reach the age of 25.
