Learning Support Assistant
Children’s Team - Langside School, Poole
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at Langside School. The school provides education and support to children with physical and learning disabilities. The role involves supporting the teacher in the delivery of the curriculum, as well as supporting the pupils with personal care needs.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person who is nurturing, and proactive in making a positive contribution to our team at Langside. This role requires you to have a Grade 4 or above in Maths and English GCSE's (or equivalent). In return we offer excellent training, staff discounts and term-time only working.
Hours are 8.45am - 3.45pm - Monday to Friday (term time only)

Supporting our pupils to access the curriculum.

Supporting and assisting our pupils with their personal needs - including feeding, exercise and personal care.

Monitoring our pupils, following guidance to ensure they are safe.

Supporting the implementation of programmes initiated by teaching, nursing and therapy staff.

We are looking to recruit a female on call assistant to join our Supported Living team providing care to adults with disabilities in their own home. Our Supported Living Team work hard to provide care around the clock, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days a year. There’s a whole range of fantastic characters for you to meet and get to know when you’re working with us.
*Due to the current demands on the service, we require a FEMALE On Call Support Assistant*
Hours: 35 hours per week- 2 week rolling rota (Shifts may vary )
Week 1
Mondays: 7am-Midday & 5pm-10pm (On call overnight until 7am Tuesdays)
Fridays: 7am-10pm (On call overnight until 7am Saturday )
Saturdays: 7am-5pm
Week 2
Sundays: 7am-10pm (On call overnight until 7am Monday)
Wednesdays: 7am-Midday
Fridays: 7am-10pm (On call overnight until 7am Saturday)

Vacancy 1- 35 hours per week (average) 2 week rolling rota (shifts may vary)
Week 1:

They are bright and happy individuals with brilliant personalities.
The male is a true gentleman who has an interest in trains! He is a big music fan who loves going to the cinema, bowling, sailing in the summer and benefits most from positive gentle engagement from his support staff.
The female we support is a vibrant and intelligent lady who loves to make sure that she’s always looking her best, she loves being supported to go to her pottery class and enjoys swimming!
