Swimming Teacher - Multiple Vacancies
This is a permanent position with set working hours and days. We are looking for swim teachers to cover: Monday to Friday 4pm - 6pm
Do you have an STA Award or Certificate or a Swim England Level 2 Qualification in Teaching Swimming, and experience of teaching a diverse customer base? Do you have the passion to teach swimming?

People of all abilities and ages are welcome at our centres, and as a Swimming Teacher you will run sessions effectively and efficiently, drawing on your knowledge of teaching best practices, and your passion for ensuring students reach their full potential, at every step. You’ll need to be flexible in your approach to teaching, and your approach to working hours, to suit the needs of the business.
- You will be responsible for preparing lesson plans and a comprehensive scheme of work that meets the requirements of Swim England Learn to Swim Programme. Undertaking sessions according to the programme timetable, and ensuring classes commence and finish at the designated times.
- You will need the natural ability to establish and maintain excellent relationships with our customers and potential customers, putting people at ease, with a real “can-do” attitude; nothing is too much hassle for you!
- You will comply with the Swim England Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct at all times, and ensure all concerns of a child safeguarding nature are referred in a timely and appropriate manner, in accordance with Fusion’s Safeguarding policy.
- You will ensure all lessons are delivered safely and effectively, delivered to a standard that complies with regulations and guidance.
- You will be passionate about always looking for ways to improve our swim lesson programme and better our service to swimmers and customers

What you will do:
As a Customer Service Advisor you’ll manage the customer database, proactively driving membership sales; and you’ll provide accurate information and assist customers in weighing up their options, selecting the right level of membership for them. You’ll also assist in the communication and promotion of the Centre’s services, and assist with lead generation. This is a results driven role, where your natural ability to influence and persuade will shine through.
To be successful as a Customer Service Advisor you’ll need flexible and effective verbal communication, numerical and written skills, as you’ll be swiftly and accurately processing transactions, and ensuring the reception area and entry to the Centre is managed effectively and efficiently. Preferably you’ll have experience of delivering first-class customer service, and achieving KPIs in a target-driven sales environment. You will also need a “can-do”, solutions-focused attitude; nothing is too much trouble for you!
Some of the main tasks and responsibilities of this role will include (but are not limited to):
- Responsible for offering a consistent and outstanding level of customer service
- Building rapport and trust with customers by engaging with them, and actively anticipating and subsequently meeting their needs
- Achieve KPIs and sales targets set by RCRM and central support
- Ensure the efficient and effective operation of the front-of-house area; monitoring and controlling entry to the centre
- Ensure all customer sales and bookings are managed correctly, assisting customers in their choices; whilst positively and proactively driving retention
- Assist in the development of programming through innovative ideas and initiating actions to meet the demands of the customers
- Manage complaints in a sensitive manner, promptly and politely in accordance with company guidelines, escalating where necessary to the relevant people
- Process and prepare food and drink orders, assisting with service when required
- Present and sell food and drink stock to customers in a friendly, efficient and timely manner, in line with established company and legislative standards.
- Fill and replenish food and drink displays, ensure all food and drink displays are presented, merchandised and priced in line with established standards
- Receive, store and rotate food and drink deliveries
- Conduct basic record keeping tasks, such as temperature checks and wastage records

What you will do:

You will need excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to offer exceptional customer service at all times.
Some of the main tasks and responsibilities of this role will include (but are not limited to):
- Maintain the highest level of cleanliness and hygiene within the centre’s public and back of house spaces
- Champion in role and take personal responsibility for all hygiene, health and safety policy and procedure
- Carry out testing and / or other hygiene, health and safety checks as directed, passing results immediately to the appropriate person and escalating potential issues promptly
- Safely support managing customer flow and expectation of waiting times and attendance across all areas of the leisure centre
- Undertake all day-to-day cleaning and maintenance of the equipment and fittings, to the highest possible standards, bringing attention any faults or major repairs to the relevant team
- Proactively manage customer behaviour during the use of facilities to ensure highest possible levels of safety and enjoyment
- Conduct and record regular cleanliness checks of the centre’s facilities
- Ensure the safe storage of all chemicals and equipment to comply with COSHH regulations
- Notify Centre Manager on Health and Safety and maintenance issues
- Establish and maintain excellent relationships with our customers and potential customers and escalating complaints where appropriate

The Role:
You will be carrying out a range of therapies and will be tasked in working towards an individual revenue target. In return for achieving your target there is a generous bonus to be achieved. You will receive in depth training and ongoing development from your Spa Manager. The Spa is expected to be very busy so you will to be used to organising your time in an efficient manor.
About You:
A successful Spa Therapist will enjoy working with people and possess excellent standards of customer care and a positive ‘can do attitude’. The Ideal candidate will be qualified to a NVQ level 3 beauty qualification, and will have FAW and AED as a minimum. You must be able to work a shift pattern including evening and weekends.

Swimming Teacher - Multiple Vacancies
This is a permanent position with set working hours and days. We are looking for swim teachers to cover: Monday to Friday 4pm - 6pm
Do you have an STA Award or Certificate or a Swim England Level 2 Qualification in Teaching Swimming, and experience of teaching a diverse customer base? Do you have the passion to teach swimming?

- You will need the natural ability to establish and maintain excellent relationships with our customers and potential customers, putting people at ease, with a real “can-do” attitude; nothing is too much hassle for you!
- You will comply with the Swim England Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct at all times, and ensure all concerns of a child safeguarding nature are referred in a timely and appropriate manner, in accordance with Fusion’s Safeguarding policy.
- You will ensure all lessons are delivered safely and effectively, delivered to a standard that complies with regulations and guidance.

The role of a Part Time Lifeguard at Fusion Lifestyle
Lifeguards have one of the most important jobs at our centres, and that is keeping our customers safe in and around the water.
Fusion Lifestyle’s Part Time Lifeguards (Recreation Assistants), also perform other duties; such as cleaning assigned areas, setting up and breaking down various activities and events and conducting pool testing according to procedures. You will work a varying rotated pattern of shifts, which will require some evening and weekend work.

The role of a Casual Lifeguard:
Fusion Lifestyle's Casual Lifeguards (Recreation Assistants), work on a casual, zero-hour basis, ensuring a safe and enjoyable customer experience for all users of the Centre’s facilities. They also perform other duties; such as cleaning assigned areas, setting-up and breaking-down various activities and events, and conducting pool testing according to procedures. - REPS/CIMSPA (Fitness / Exercise to music) level 2 qualified and registered (essential)

- Experience of delivering classes in a comparable role
- Understanding of relevant health and safety legislation, and the ability to exercise these in the workplace
- Understanding of different learning styles

Become a Gym Instructor at Fusion:
The gym can be an intimidating place and as a Gym Instructor for Fusion Lifestyle, you will warmly welcome all customers, ensure equipment is used safely, and encourage users by devising and delivering fitness assessments and programs, all whilst keeping the gym clean and inviting.
You will also deliver group exercise classes when required, so you will need experience of delivering exercise classes using first class customer service to a diverse client base.
To be successful in this role you will need an engaging and honest personality, with a natural ability to build strong relationships and put people at ease. Alongside a “can-do”, solutions focused attitude.
You’ll also need:
- Level 2 qualification in Fitness Instructing
- CIMSPA membership is essential within one month of employment
Some of the responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to):
- Establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with our customers and potential customers
- Supervising activities in the Fitness Rooms and operating the equipment in a manner consistent with safe working practice
