Rothamsted Research is looking for a Science Technician to work in the UKRI-EPSRC funded project: Global Nitrogen Innovation Centre for Clean Energy and the Environment (NICCEE).
Do you have experience of implementing field trials and data analysis techniques?
Do you have an interest in water and gas measurements from soils?
The successful candidate will have the chance to work with postdoctoral researchers and principal investigators, as well as collaborating with the wider team.
They will assist with the technical establishment, day-to-day running and maintenance of field trials, with responsibility for:
- sampling and processing greenhouse gas, ammonia, soil and crop samples from the experiments
- handling and storing data in accordance with FAIR data principles
This role is based at Rothamsted Research - North Wyke (Devon), as part of the Farming Footprints and Adaptations Team.
The post is full-time for a 1 year fixed term period, attracting a salary of £24,225-26,573 per annum.
A science degree or equivalent in relevant science is desirable.
