We have vacancies for well-qualified and enthusiastic Graduates or GAP students to join our school as Assistant Tutors (Games, Boarding, Lesson support) to start in January 2026.
The Junior King’s School is a co-educational Day and Boarding School for pupils between the ages of 3-13. We offer a superb educational, boarding, extra-curricular and sporting programme for our pupils.
This role will involve,
- supporting children in class,
- responsibility for your own sporting team,
- assisting with boarding duties
The role is likely to suit Graduates/ GAP students seeking experience of working with children and a view of potentially embarking on a career in teaching.
We are looking for candidates who will be able to assist with the coaching of either boys’ sport (football, rugby, hockey & cricket), girls’ sport (hockey, netball, tennis & cricket) or assist with the coaching of rowing. In addition there is an expectation that you will provide support in a combination of English, Maths, Science and Humanities lessons.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dynamic Theatre Manager to lead the continued growth and success of the Malthouse Theatre at The King’s School, Canterbury. It is a distinctive, high-quality venue serving both the school and the wider community.
You will have overall responsibility for the theatre’s commercial and external activity, including programming, bookings, marketing and financial performance. You will work closely with school colleagues, visiting companies and external partners to deliver a vibrant, commercially successful programme while maintaining the highest operational and safeguarding standards.
The role requires strong leadership across technical, front-of-house and bar teams, alongside hands-on oversight of box office operations, licensing, health and safety, and venue compliance. You will bring proven experience in theatre or venue management, sound financial acumen, and the ability to balance artistic ambition with commercial viability.
