We are looking for a Bank Healthcare Assistant to join our team and provide our Clinical Nursing Specialists with support in the GDSS team.

Some of the duties and responsibilities of the role include the following:

• To assist the qualified staff in the assessment, implementation and evaluation of nursing care delivered.
• To assist qualified nursing staff in general care of patients; on admission, preparation for tests, transfer and discharge.
• To assist in the bathing and personal hygiene of patients and to be attentive to their individual needs.
• To assist and participate in the clinical observation of patients e.g. TPR, P, BP etc.
• To help in the turning, lifting and walking of patients when instructed and assisted by qualified staff.
• To collect specimens as instructed.
• To assist in escorting ambulant patients to hospital departments and /or to accompany qualified nursing staff in the transfer of patients.

We are looking for an experienced Breast Care Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Outpatient team. The role will involve working in a clinical and service development capacity to ensure the service to breast patients is planned, delivered and evaluated in line with evidence-based practice, providing specialist, high quality, expert nursing care and support for patients and their carers with a diagnosis of breast cancer.

You will join a team providing exceptional nursing care throughout the patients’ journey, (Outpatients and Inpatients) to all breast cancer patients of New Victoria Hospital. As part of a dedicated team, you'll work collaboratively to meet the needs of patients, within the framework of New Victoria’s and Bupa’s London Diagnostic and Secondary Care services policies and procedures.

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Band 6 MSK physiotherapist for up to 18 hours/week. You will be working within a team of highly experienced physiotherapists. It will include 1 evening shift to 8pm once a week, weekday cover for late orthopaedic surgery and participation in our weekend rota. The candidate must have a suitable level of previous MSK outpatient and orthopaedic experience, good time management skills and good communication skills. The candidate will be expected to work independently without direct supervision and will need to be self-sufficient. The pay rate is dependent on experience.

The successful applicant must be willing and able to commute to our site.

We are looking for a Theatre Practitioner - Recovery to join our Theatres team. The role of the Theatre Department is to provide patient care during the pre, peri and post-operative phase of a surgical patient’s care within the hospital.

This role involves providing a high standard of professional practice and clinical care. You will be working with the theatre team to promote a good working environment and maintain a supportive learning environment within the operating department.

Here at New Victoria Hospital, we are looking for a Cardiac Physiologist/Echocardiographer, who will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing Cardiac Investigation services to our Outpatients and our Inpatients. The Cardiac Physiologist will be responsible for the development and delivery of a high quality, cost effective, Cardiac Investigations service to our patients and referrers. 

This role will require you to perform high quality examinations as required by referring Consultants, and to produce a high standard of imaging and reporting, whilst ensuring all organisational and national policies and procedures are adhered to. The reports produced will be required to be in line with the British Society of Echocardiography and in line with UK standards.

Some of the duties of this role will involve:

• Forming relationships with GP practices and aiding in their education of our service and referral pathways
• Continuing to growing and develop the Cardiac Investigations Service
• Assisting the Imaging Manager in constructing Cardiac Policy’s, Standard Operating Procedures and Audit Programs, and implementing these
• Taking part in departmental quality assurance and audit programmes

We are looking to recruit a Paediatric Lead to come on board for 12 months to provide maternity cover, stepping in to effectively manage the Paediatric Nursing Service in the Outpatient Department and the inpatient ward of New Victoria Hospital.

Promote high standards of patient centred care and the professional development of staff within the framework of the hospital strategy for paediatrics all while establishing, monitoring and maintaining the professional standards of the Paediatric Nursing Service.

We are looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy Team and support in the provision of professional medicines management across the Hospital and to participate in the work of the dispensary. The team ensures a high level of professional pharmacy practice at all times in accordance with standards, to ensure patients and staff receive assistance in a timely manner, liaising efficiently with medical and other hospital staff.

Some of the duties of the role will include:

• Counsel patients regarding their medication regimes in order to ensure complete patient understanding, including benefits of their medication and possible side effects. These may be patients with certain barriers, e.g. hearing problems, language issues.
• Deal with queries from patients and other hospital staff, referring complex issues to the relevant pharmacist or other relevant hospital staff, such as departmental head.
• Maintain high quality of data input of patient information into the pharmacy computer system in order to ensure excellent labelling standards for dispensed medicines.
• Assist with the implementation and build of MEDITECH Expanse, ensuring accurate entry of formulary items, validation of data, and supporting pharmacists in testing system workflows prior to go-live.
• Agree stock medicines with departmental leads and ensure stock levels of all products are accurate and support the appropriate ordering of stock through liaison with the Chief Pharmacist.

As a Staff Nurse working in the Day Unit, you will provide exceptional nursing care to all patients of New Victoria Hospital. As part of a dedicated team, you will work collaboratively to meet the needs of patients, within framework of New Victoria's policies and procedures.

We are looking for a Theatre Team Lead to join our Theatres department. The Team Lead will be responsible for the management of staff and resources within the scrub team. They will work with the Theatre Manager to ensure the provision of high quality, evidence based patient centred care for patients and theatre users.

The role will require participation in the on-call rota and will involve weekend working.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Theatre Practitioner - Scrub to join our Theatres team. This role involves providing a high standard of professional practice and clinical care, working with the theatre team to promote a god working environment and maintain a supportive learning environment within the operating department. 

The successful candidate will have Orthopaedic experience and will also need to be qualified as Surgical First Assistant.

Some of the duties and responsibilities of this role involve:

• Ability to provide more complex care needs to patients with minimal supervision.
• Develop advanced clinical skills and specialist practice.
• Implement and actively promote research based nursing and clinical practice.
• Evaluate care outcomes for a list of patients, as delivered by a team.
• Delegate and co-ordinate the nursing team in the delivery of care for a theatre list.
• Demonstrate an understanding of skill mix.
• Act as clinical resource within the multi-disciplinary team.
• Lead on communicating with regards to patient care to a team of staff on a regular basis.

The team covers a weekend rota, as well as an out-of-hours on call, which the applicant will need to cover.
