- To assist the qualified staff in the assessment, implementation and evaluation of nursing care delivered.
- To assist qualified nursing staff in general care of patients; on admission, preparation for tests, transfer and discharge.
- To assist in the bathing and personal hygiene of patients and to be attentive to their individual needs.
- To assist and participate in the clinical observation of patients e.g. TPR, P, BP etc.
- To help in the turning, lifting and walking of patients when instructed and assisted by qualified staff.
- To collect specimens as instructed.

It will include 1 evening shift to 8pm once a week, weekday cover for late orthopaedic surgery and participation in our weekend rota. Here at New Victoria Hospital, we are looking for a Cardiac Physiologist/Echocardiographer, who will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing Cardiac Investigation services to our Outpatients and our Inpatients. The Cardiac Physiologist will be responsible for the development and delivery of a high quality, cost effective, Cardiac Investigations service to our patients and referrers.
This role will require you to perform high quality examinations as required by referring Consultants, and to produce a high standard of imaging and reporting, whilst ensuring all organisational and national policies and procedures are adhered to. The reports produced will be required to be in line with the British Society of Echocardiography and in line with UK standards.
