We are excited to be delivering Connect to Work in Hampshire and are seeking a Community Integration Officer to help us build strong local connections and ensure more people can access life-changing employment support.
About the Role
As a Community Integration Officer, you will play a vital role in promoting our services and increasing referrals to the Connect to Work programme. You’ll work closely with community groups, local authorities, Jobcentres, and NHS partners to raise awareness and encourage participation.You’ll become an expert in our services, confidently representing Shaw Trust and building relationships that make a real difference. This is a community-based role, combining face-to-face engagement with digital outreach, and you’ll work alongside our operational team to re-engage participants where needed.
This is a performance-focused role, with clear targets aligned to referral and start profiles set by the commissioner.
What You’ll Do- Engage with local stakeholders to promote our services and strengthen partnerships.
- Increase referrals and ensure participants attend their first appointment.
- Represent Shaw Trust at community events, Jobcentre appointments, and NHS settings.
- Support seamless referral processes and participant engagement.
- Work collaboratively with operational teams to re-engage participants and improve outcomes.

As a Community Integration Officer, you will be proactively engaging with local Community Groups, Local Authorities, Job Centres and the NHS to source and increase the number of eligible participants we have starting on Connect to Work Essex.
You be will actively engaging with all aspects of the provision so that you have a full working knowledge of what our contracts offer and are confidently able to promote this to our stakeholders. This engagement will take place through face-to-face interaction, supported by a mix of digital channels.
Predominantly based within the local community the role holder will be expected to increase the number of participants referred to and attending their first meeting on the appropriate service.The role will involve engaging with stakeholders to ensure they are confident in promoting the Shaw Trust Strategic Partnership with Essex County Council. Engaging and interacting with participants during their appointments with Job Centres, local community groups and within the NHS to ensure a seamless referral process. The Community Integration Officer will also be required to work closely with the operational team to support the re-engagement of disengaged participants. The ability to drive or access to strong travel networks is essential for this role.
The role will be a targeted role, with monthly and quarterly rolling targets aligned to the referrals and start profiles set by the Commissioner. You will also have a robust and supportive appraisal process to enable you to succeed in your role.

Lillibet House is a newly refurbished three-bedded assessment home that opened in early 2023. Designed as an emergency placement setting, the home provides a warm, safe, and supportive environment for up to three young people, both male and female, typically on short stays of around six weeks, sometimes slightly longer.
Located in Daventry, Lillibet House is close to local schools and amenities, ensuring young people have access to education and community resources during their placement. The home places a strong emphasis on appropriate practice and short-term goals, helping young people stabilise and prepare for their next steps.
Staff at Lillibet House are trained to manage challenging behaviour and have experience in de-escalation and restraint when required. A good understanding of mental health, prior experience working with young people, and familiarity with processes are essential skills for the team. Residential Support Workers (RSWs) play a key role in maintaining consistency and safety within the home.

- Experience with Learning Disabilities (LD)
- Resilience and ability to manage challenging behaviour
- Capability for some physical intervention when required

- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins

Farrimond House is a small and cosy home with only 2 children based in Worksop. The home is the sister home of Meadow View also based in Worksop with both being managed by Julie Mason. We are PACE informed and use this therapeutic model to inform our practice with the hope of gaining better outcomes for our children.

Worksop has many leisure activities as well as attractions such as local parks, cinemas, skate parks and a leisure centre… if you wish to venture further afield Sheffield can be reached within 30 minute as can Nottingham by car.
