About the role
As a Support Worker, you will work directly with people in their homes and in the community. You will be expected to support people with a variety of needs, enabling them to live the lives they want.
Duties will include:
- Building great relationships with people we support and the people important to their lives
- Promoting choice and participation when supporting people with daily tasks
- Co-creating opportunities for people to try new things and offering information to support people to make their own choices
- Offering personalised support by working with people’s strength to build their confidence and overcome obstacles with the aim of achieving their goals
- Encouraging people to participate in activities that bring them joy and meaning

About the role
This role is a fixed term role – until January 2027 working as the Team Manager. You will be responsible for leading a team, who provide support to people with a range of low to high support needs.
This position will be managing Supported Living accommodations/homes in Lambeth, with a permanent team of Support Workers and another Team Manager.
Duties will include:
- Actively lead the team’s development by actively coaching and training colleagues in person centred support practices and approaches
- Carry out regular 121’s, team meetings and annual reviews with all team members, giving and acting on received feedback and identified development needs.
- Effectively manage risks of the people we support through ensuring team members understand what is important to the individual(s)
- To use information technology to undertake a range of administrative tasks and to follow procedural guidelines and complete appropriate documentation in required formats and to compile detailed written reports
About you
To be a Team Manager, the following are essential:
- Experience of supporting people with learning disability.
- Track record of enabling choice and control to be a reality for people with learning disabilities.
- Experience of leading teams to embed person centred working.
- Understand the challenges that are likely to be faced by many people with disabilities.

About the role
The role of a Building Maintenance & Safety Officer is a dual role created to to ensure that all properties that are owned or managed by Certitude are maintained to such a standard that they are fit for purpose and safe.
Duties will include:
- Liaise with residents, colleagues, managers, external contractors and suppliers to ensure the delivery of escalated repairs is effectively managed.
- Liaise with the Certitude H&S manager to ensure all property works are appropriately managed and compliant with H&S legislation.
- Assist the H&S manager with monitoring the property Fire Risk Assessment online portal (Riskbase), the Property Risk Profile and the Building Compliance Framework .
- Manage the housing database, management systems, equipment and processes.
- Manage repair and maintenance appointments for the Independent Living Services (ILS).
- Manage the appointment of competent and suitable contractors for the approved contractor list ensuring the due diligence process is followed.
- Assist the Head of Housing in the management of Certitude’s planned and cyclical maintenance programme.
About you
To be a Building Maintenance & Safety Officer at Certitude, the following are essential:
- Good all-round experience in working within repairs and maintenance.
- Proven experience in building safety and compliance, preferably in a social housing setting.
- Knowledge of the Building Safety Act, Fire Safety Regulations, and other relevant legislation and guidance.
- Experience of carrying out property inspections and identifying repairs.
- Good knowledge and experience of using Excel and producing reports.

The role of the Support Worker is to provide specialist expertise and support to facilitate teams in achieving person centred outcomes for the people we support, some of whom have profound and complex needs, to maximise the individual’s independence and enable them to be active in their communities.

- Possess a manual driving license and be able to drive a 7-seater van
- Knowledge of the Transforming Care Agenda
