Our Visitor Services Team are the first point of contact for visitors and offer excellent customer service to everyone who visits Burghley. The team works across all visitor areas, including the garden shop, all garden and House ticket desks and the adventure playground.The role will involve:
- meeting and greeting customers
- selling and upselling tickets
- monitoring Adventure Playground site and Gardens, ensuring visitors are all safe and enjoying themselves!
- working in the Garden Shop
- interacting with families, engaging with them as they explore Hide and Secrets and the Gardens and helping them get the most out of nature and outdoor play
Candidates will need to:
- have previous experience working on tills would be an advantage
- be flexible team players
- be well organised and work calmly under pressure
- be friendly, and approachable
- have good communication skills
We have a variety of working patters available from 2 to 4 days a week and all roles include some weekend working including bank holidays. The hours of work are 9.30am to 5pm. Staff are provided with a Burghley uniform.

Housekeeper
The Burghley Estate is a diverse business based in Stamford, Lincolnshire. At the heart of the Estate is Burghley House, set within 1,500 acres of historic parkland. Business interests include Burghley House, Gardens and Adventure Play visitor attractions, a busy programme of public and private events including the world renowned 5* Defender Burghley Horse Trials, Burghley Park Golf Club and a significant property portfolio.
We’re looking for a Housekeeper to join our Domestic team working between 2 to 4 days a week. The role is based at Burghley House.
Duties include:
- Cleaning all public areas
- Deep cleaning in the closed season
- Cleaning of offices areas and meeting rooms
Essential skills
- Good eye for detail and precision
- Hard working and can self-motivate
- Works well in a team and on own
- Flexibility
- A high standard of cleaning
Role specific details
Previous experience of housekeeping or cleaning is desirable however, full training will be given. A uniform will be provided.
We have 2 permanent positions available, with hours ranging from 15 to 30 hours per week. Both roles will involve working weekends and bank holidays. Please specify on your covering letter how many days you are looking to work.

Chef - Burghley Park Golf Club

Our Clubhouse features a welcoming restaurant and a multifunctional lounge space for members, visitors, and functions. We’ve built a strong reputation for quality food, and with new facilities including padel courts opening this Spring, this is a fantastic opportunity for a Chef who wants to develop, shape, and grow a food offering — not just maintain one.
We are looking for a passionate, motivated Chef for this exciting role in our Clubhouse kitchen, as we enter a period of growth and change.
Salary Range: £32k - 35kThe Hours:
• Kitchen open 7 days a week, 8.00am – 4.30pm
• Very few split shifts
• Occasional evening functions
• Closed Christmas Day & Boxing DayThe Role:
This is a hands-on role with real ownership and influence. You will be responsible for:
• Menu planning, including daily and weekly specials
• Stock ordering, inventory control, and minimising waste
• Menu costing and understanding profit margins
• Maintaining excellent hygiene, health and safety standards
• Offer a seasonal menu to golfers and visitors to the Clubhouse
• Opportunity to grow, and develop our a la carte offering
• Creating and implementing cleaning schedules
• Working closely with the Bar and Hospitality Manager, Front of House team, and General Manager
• Management of other kitchen staff, including Assistant Chef and Kitchen Assistant
You’ll have the opportunity to put your stamp on the kitchen and help evolve the food offering as the Club continues to grow.What We’re Looking For:

Gardens Administrator - Part Time

We are seeking an Administrator to join our busy Gardens team at Burghley House on a part time basis (16 hours across 4 mornings per week).
This is a varied and rewarding role at the heart of our garden’s operation, providing essential administrative support to the Head Gardener and wider team. You’ll help keep systems running smoothly, support our valued Volunteers, and contribute to the safe and efficient day-to-day management of the gardens.
Key responsibilities include:
- Administration support for the Head Gardener
- Administration to support departmental Health & Safety systems, including COSHH records, risk assessments, vehicle checks, contractor approval process
- Administration of the Volunteer team including onboarding, database, time tracking
- Maintaining plant, tree, COSHH, and other databases
- Sourcing of materials and plants as required by Head Gardener and team
- Maintaining and implementing the Gardens team calendar
- Carrying out research to support projects and planning
- Ad hoc administration required for the wider Gardens team
- Organisation and documentation of team quarterly Health & Safety meetings, annual Health & Safety review, annual Volunteer briefing day and other events as needed
- Monitoring and maintenance of all Gardens first aid kits
