Early Years Deputy Manager and SENCO

Job purpose and Context
The Deputy Manager and SENCo will be a compassionate, kind, and caring leader who seeks to motivate and inspire practitioners to work with children and parents to the best of their ability. The Deputy Manager with work in partnership with the Early Years Manager to create a warm and friendly environment for both the staff and the children and families with who we are working. A focus will be on delivering high quality, inclusive and engaging learning opportunities for children aged 1-4 and to fulfil the role of named SENCo for the setting. As a key member of the management team at the setting, you will work effectively with stakeholders and develop positive relationships with parents/carers.
The role involves working with and supporting the Early Years Manager and fulfilling managerial responsibilities in the manager’s absence.
Salary: £21,700 (£31,159 FTE)
Hours: 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time only)

Wheels for All Volunteer
About
Wheels for All is a national inclusive cycling programme developed by Cycling Projects which enables disabled people, people with additional needs or health conditions to have fun cycling.
We have a range of adapted cycles such as tricycles, handcycles and two-seaters; we try to find something for everyone. People usually come with a support worker or family member, but some come on their own. Our sessions run on Tuesday and Saturday mornings at Harrow Civic Centre, and we hope to expand.
What Does a Wheels for All Volunteer Do?
- Set up sessions including moving cycles from container to track and clearing any rubbish
- Check cycles are in good order
- Greet riders and ensure forms are completed
- Support riders to fit helmets and choose the right cycle
- Cycle or walk along with riders
- Develop a rapport and encourage riders
- Liaise with session leader on cycle use
- Pack up and put away cycles
- Provide feedback to leader on riders’ progress and enjoyment
This is a voluntary role and is unpaid, but it’s fun and very rewarding.
What Kind of Person is a Wheels for All Volunteer?
Essential
- Friendly and open personality
- Able to cycle; enthusiastic about cycling
- Safety- and risk-conscious
- Willing to provide references and undertake an Enhanced DBS check
- Able to commit to an average of two mornings per month on a rota

Art Academy Volunteer

We run art academies (Junior 8-10 yrs and Senior 11-18 yrs) on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 5 pm-7 pm.
We need a reliable volunteer to help with the Tuesday evening class, who will help settle the children and help them access the lesson given by the workshop leader. An interest in art is desirable but drawing ability is not necessary. You will need to be reliable and turn up 5 minutes before the session starts and help clear up equipment and materials at the end of the session. A lift will be given to the nearest bus or tube station if required at the end of the session.

The Children’s Activities Coordinator will oversee the site’s sessions for children and young people. This will include planning and delivering sessions such as story time, ensuring safeguarding and management of the space, coordinating the cohort of library volunteers, liaising with community partners, and supporting the programme of activities for children and families. They will take creative ownership of the displays and maintain an immersive and welcoming space for our youngest visitors and community members.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for engaging children and young people in a community or education setting. We are looking for people that enjoy working with the public and creative inclusive and engaging experiences for children and families. They will have excellent communication and customer services skills and will be able to adapt their communication style to suit working with children of all ages and community members from a range of backgrounds. As Fundraising and Communications Manager, you’ll influence strategy while driving hands-on delivery. You will lead and develop our fundraising and communications functions, ensuring they work seamlessly together to increase income and engagement.
You’ll oversee the operational running of these two key areas, line-managing our Fundraiser and Communications Officer, and working closely with the management team to ensure our messaging reflects the impact of our work.
Key responsibilities of the role are:

- Supervise the Fundraiser and Communications Officer, supporting their development and ensuring effective use of resources.

Fundraising
- Develop and deliver strategies to grow income from individual giving, corporate partnerships, and community fundraising.
- Create compelling campaigns and messaging aligned with CAAS branding and tone.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, partners, and community fundraisers, providing excellent stewardship.
- Develop and maintain a CRM system to manage donor relationships in line with GDPR.
- Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations and best practice.
- Produce and submit reports to funders to demonstrate impact and accountability.

- Oversee the development and delivery of CAAS’s communications strategy, ensuring clear, consistent, and engaging messaging across all channels.
- Drive storytelling initiatives by sourcing and sharing case studies and impact stories that inspire donors and the wider public.
- Ensure all communications reflect best practice in accessibility, inclusivity, and neuro-affirmative language.

- Work closely with the CEO and management team to deliver a fundraising and communications plan that supports CAAS’s strategic objectives.
- Prepare risk management, quality assessment, and process documents to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
- Monitor and evaluate output, outcome, and impact measures across fundraising and communications activities, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Provide written reports as required by the CEO and Board.
You may be required to attend events, so occasional travel is necessary.
