Senior Strategic Partnerships Officer
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Senior Strategic Partnerships Officer to join the Strategic Partnerships team. The individual will be responsible for identifying and qualifying potential prospects through outbound and inbound outreach efforts. This role is critical in building a strong sales pipeline and supporting the overall growth of the business.
Audience & Experience Manager
We are looking for an Audience & Experience Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering a seamless and engaging experience for all attendees of the Energy Institute’s event portfolio, from intimate briefings to the flagship International Energy Week (IEW). This role is responsible for mapping audience journeys, building and managing registration systems, ensuring high-quality customer interactions across all touchpoints, and expanding those touchpoints.
Member - Finance and Audit Committee
We are seeking volunteers to join as a member of our Finance & Audit Committee. Our committees provide critical expertise, guidance, and governance in supporting delivery of the EI’s purpose and strategy. Volunteering can help you demonstrate personal commitment to your field of work, as well as further your professional development. We welcome interest from members working in finance in the energy sector and are seeking stronger representation across gender, geography and career stage.
Accreditation and Approvals Panel
We are seeking volunteers to join the Accreditation and Approvals Panel (AAP). Reporting to the Professional Affairs Committee, members of the AAP provide critical expertise, guidance, and governance in delivering accreditation of programmes.
Digital Transformation Advisory Board
We are seeking a volunteer to fill one opening on the Digital Transformation Advisory Board (DTAB). Members of the DTAB provide strategic guidance and expert advice to the Director of Digital Transformation on the organization's digital transformation journey.

The Council of the Energy Institute has delegated to the Finance and Audit Committee responsibility for regulating and monitoring all financial issues in the management and reporting of the Institute's activities and governance, effecting both internal and external accountability.
The committee meets four times a year around March, May, September, and November
Finance & Audit Committee Remit
- Approve and monitor financial business policy, delegations of authority, investments, banking, and treasury
- Monitor operational and capital budgets and forecasts, making recommendations for Council approval
- Establish procedures to monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts
- Approve management accounts for presentation to Council
- Responsible for the selection of specialist advisers, including external auditors, taxation, pensions, investment/fund managers.
- Review and approve for recommendation to Council as appropriate all principal external financial reports, including the Annual Report and Accounts and Charity Commission Return.

Job purpose
The Energy Institute is looking for an experienced researcher for a six-month contract to provide strategic direction and leadership for our flag ship research report, the Energy Institute (EI) Statistical Review of World Energy for 2026.
Key responsibilities
Strategic & Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary team of analysts from across multiple organisations
- Oversee project management processes and governance for all areas of the project
- Support management of the multiple stakeholders involved in the project
Statistical Review of World Energy
- Oversee end-to-end development of the 75th edition (publishing June 2026), including delivery planning, stakeholder management, and campaign coordination in partnership with heads of communications & marketing and content
- Plot out capability building, data acquisition processes, and QA systems to ensure long term delivery of the Statistical Review
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Strong leadership and people management ability
- 5 - 10 years’ experience managing analytical, research, or insight-based functions
- Strong statistical and methodological literacy, with the ability to review various analytical approaches
- Understanding of global energy markets and data
- Strong project management skills (formal training desirable)
- Experience overseeing publications, datasets, and/or research products
- Ability to translate complex analysis into clear narrative
Desirable
- Knowledge of the Energy Institute and the Statistical Review of World Energy would be beneficial
- Stakeholder engagement and communication at senior level
