Last year Pennine Domestic Abuse Partnership (PDAP) provided support to 1662 victims across Kirklees and believes
that everyone has a right to a life free from fear and abuse. Do you want to take on a role in an organisation that places

team to contribute to supporting clients to rebuild their lives.
Key aspects of the role
1. To ensure the effective management and organisation of PDAP safe accommodation provision
2. To maintain a high-quality service that meets the needs of women and children affected by domestic abuse
throughout all levels of risk
3. To provide line management, supervision and annual appraisals to PDAP frontline staff and ensure they are
adequately managed on a day to day basis

housing providers and contract duties with housing providers of PDAP buildings

Project Management and Service Delivery
1. To assist the SLT to develop and implement policies and procedures relating to accommodation service and
ensure such policies and procedures are in line with current legislation

delivered throughout service management and delivery
3. Work with the Head of Services to monitor and evaluate all aspects of PDAP accommodation service and
produce accurate informative papers as and when required, including implementation of development plans
4. To assist business support to produce accurate data reports for PDAP Trustee Board, Local Authority
Commissioners, funding bodies and stakeholders which represent the excellence of service delivery when

5. To ensure that PDAP accommodation services provide a safe and secure environment for women and children
escaping domestic abuse in compliance with management agreements and housing legislation
6. To ensure all service agreements and license agreements are developed and implemented in consultation with
relevant bodies

Overall Objectives
To support women and families who have been subjected to domestic abuse, ‘so called’ honor-
based abuse and or forced marriage to navigate the barriers faced in their journey to recovery. This
includes supporting them to navigate through legal requirements for gaining legal status to remain
living in the UK.
To work within a skilled team providing high quality frontline specialist support services to and
empowering victims of domestic abuse within Pdap’s safe accommodation service.
To establish and maintain positive, proactive and innovative working relationships, pathways and
referral routes with partner agencies to reduce barriers arising for women and families with
immigration support needs.

Particular Tasks of the Postholder
The postholder will provide client-centred support and advocate for vic_ms of domes_c abuse and
immigra_on support needs with relevant agencies, by:
• Respec_ng and valuing the diversity of the community in which the services work in, and
recognise the needs and concerns of a diverse range of vic_ms ensuring the service is
accessible to all
• Acknowledge and ac_vely work to remove barriers in place for those with immigra_on
needs.
• Providing advocacy, emotional and practical support and information to victims with NRPF
including; legal options, housing support, health and finance
• Support the empowerment of the client and assist them in recognising the features and
dynamics of domestic abuse present in their situation, and help them regain control of their
own lives

immigration status, financial independence, safety and increased confidence.

Internal Events Support • Assist with preparation and delivery of internal events such as Board of Trustees meetings, AGM, JTM, and staff celebrations. • Set up rooms, organise refreshments (e.g., teas, coffees, milk, biscuits), and support events during evenings and weekends. 8. External Events & Community Presence • Prepare and transport event materials (e.g., banners, leaflets, stock, sweets, pull-up stands). • Attend community events such as PRIDE, Reclaim the Night, and various awareness weeks. • Engage proactively with the public to raise visibility and understanding of the organisation’s work. 9. Celebration & Special Events • Plan and support celebration events such as festivals or milestone celebrations (e.g., 50th anniversary). • Set up rooms, displays, food, drinks, decorations, and personalised gifts. • Welcome guests, coordinate logistics, deliver speeches, and manage event clean-up. 10. Donations & Gifts Management • Collect, sort, rotate, and distribute donated goods to refuges and community clients. • Manage gift processing throughout the year and during seasonal campaigns. 11. Financial Donations Processing • • Inform the Finance Team of incoming cash or cheque donations. Issue thank-you letters or Certificates of Achievement to donors. • Maintain accurate records using the BEACON CRM system. 12. Report Writing & Data Capture • Produce quarterly Board of Trustee reports. • Compile statistics, fundraising totals, engagement figures, and photo opportunities. • Track total numbers of talks, attendees, and outcomes. 13. Quarterly Newsletter • Create, edit, and distribute the organisation’s quarterly newsletter. 14. Christmas & Seasonal Campaigns • Liaise with Wishing Tree hosts. • Organise and collect donations. • Coordinate with colleagues and clients to ensure age- and gender-appropriate gifts. • Promote Christmas campaigns on social media. 15. Mailing List Management • Build and maintain up-to-date mailing lists. • Ensure data protection compliance by gaining consent before adding contacts. Person Specification 1. Knowledge & Understanding • Understanding of domestic abuse dynamics, its impact on individuals and communities, and the importance of awareness campaigns such as Safeguarding Week, VAWG Week, 16 Days of Activism, and Stalking Awareness Week • Awareness of community engagement principles and how to build trust with diverse groups. • Basic understanding of data protection and confidentiality in community and survivor-facing work. 3. Communication & Engagement Skills • Confident public speaker capable of delivering domestic abuse awareness talks to a wide range of audiences including Rotary Clubs, Women’s Institutes, PRIDE groups, and other community organisations (often evenings/weekends) . • Ability to build positive, empathetic, and professional relationships with survivors, supporters, donors, and community partners. • Strong written communication skills for producing newsletters, reports, social media content, and donor correspondence. 4. Fundraising & Community Engagement • Experience supporting or coordinating fundraising events, community initiatives, or public campaigns. • Ability to engage the public at events like PRIDE, Reclaim the Night, and promotional weeks, representing the organisation confidently and sensitively. • Capacity to identify and nurture community-led fundraising opportunities. 6. Administrative & Reporting Skills • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records of events, training sessions, donations, and outcomes. • Experience producing reports (e.g., board reports, quarterly statistics, engagement summaries) and managing mailing lists or CRM systems such as BEACON . • Ability to manage donations and coordinate gift distribution in an organised and respectful manner. 7.
