Training Officer – Clybiau Plant Cymru Kids’ Clubs, Cardiff

To support the organisation to meet its strategic goals by delivering and assessing high quality training to support the Out of School Childcare Sector and the Playwork Workforce.
Job Title: Training Officer
Location: Based from our Cardiff office with agile working agreement in place. (50:50)
Hours of Work: 37 per week (Monday – Friday)
Pay Scale: £32,076 (£33,366 upon successful confirmation in post, normally after 6 months)
Core Skills & Experience
- Knowledge / Experience in Playwork and current Playwork Practice.
- A training qualification and proven experience in training adults .*
- Relevant Assessor award such as TAQA, D32 & D33, A1 or L3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement .*
*While we are seeking applications from fully qualified Training Officers, we are also open to considering candidates for a Trainee Training Officer position.
Applicants for the trainee role must be able to demonstrate:
– A sound knowledge and understanding of Playwork principles and practice.
-Current or recent experience working in a Playwork setting.
-A strong commitment to professional development, including a willingness to undertaking relevant assessing and teaching qualifications (supported by the organisation).
The trainee position will be offered at a lower starting salary (£30,285), progressing in line with qualification achievement and successful completion of training milestones.
