About the role

We are looking for a YouTube Channel Manager to join the National Theatre Digital Team.

The YouTube Channel Manager owns the day-to-day publishing and community engagement operation of the National Theatre’s presence on YouTube. It is a key role in the Digital Department’s evolving Distribution and Social strategy, and its understanding of global, mass, and younger audiences.

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Proven experience managing a YouTube channel's day-to-day operations - publishing, scheduling and packaging content - ideally within a media, entertainment, arts or creator-adjacent organisation.

  • Working knowledge of YouTube Studio and channel analytics, comfortable pulling and interpreting performance data on a regular basis.

  • Highly organised, with strong calendar/project-management skills - able to juggle multiple stakeholders and competing content priorities without losing sight of publishing deadlines.

  • Experience with community management/moderation on YouTube or similar platforms.

  • A genuine interest in and curiosity about the YouTube platform and content landscape - someone who watches YouTube as an audience member as much as an operator.

  • Reliable, detail-oriented and comfortable owning routine operational processes, while also contributing ideas to improve them over time.

If that sounds like you, this may be the role for you!
