About the role

Youth Worker (Sexual health and wellbeing)

An exciting opportunity to join our Children and Young People team.

What will the role look like?

Barca Leeds is seeking a motivated and passionate Well Wave Youth Worker to deliver specialist sexual health and wellbeing support for young people aged 13-24 years across the city. Working as part of a dedicated Well Wave team, the postholder will focus on engaging and supporting those young people who are most at risk, least well-supported, marginalised or seldom seen by traditional services

The role will be dedicated solely to delivering and promoting Well Wave services and will not be restricted by fixed locations or caseloads. The successful candidate will develop and deliver flexible, accessible, trauma-informed and culturally responsive outreach in communities throughout the city, ensuring that young people can access support in places where they feel safe, welcome and comfortable.

The role will involve building trusted relationships, delivering sexual health information and support, promoting positive wellbeing, reducing health inequalities, and enabling young people to access the services they need to achieve positive outcomes.

The post holder must be able to efficiently and reliably travel to multiple locations across Leeds each day and therefore access to own vehicle or own method of transport would be advantageous.
