Youth Worker – Encounter Archdeaconry Team (Salford)

We’re looking for a dynamic Youth Worker to join the Salford Archdeaconry Team and help grow a vibrant, visionary Youth Ministry that reaches every young person.

We are delighted to be appointing a brand‑new Encounter Team for Salford Archdeaconry in the Diocese of Manchester. This team will work alongside the Salford Encounter Archdeaconry Lead in supporting, resourcing and encouraging ministry with children, young people and their families in our schools, churches and mission communities. Recent national funding from the Church Commissioners has enabled us to create these exciting posts, which focus on early years, children’s, and youth ministry, along with school chaplaincy and developing young leaders.

As part of this newly established team, we are now seeking to appoint a Youth Worker to support and develop youth ministry across the Archdeaconry.

Are you passionate about seeing young people thrive in faith and life? We’re looking for a dynamic Youth Worker to join the Salford Archdeaconry Team and help grow a vibrant, visionary Youth Ministry that reaches every young person.

In this exciting role, you’ll champion and strengthen youth ministry across churches, spark new Christian groups and fresh expressions of worship for 11–18s, resource creative initiatives ranging from Youth Sacred Spaces to outdoor worship, collaborate with schools to support key transition moments for pupils, and work alongside clergy, leaders, and the Diocesan Youth Officer to shape transformational opportunities for young people.

If you’re committed, creative, and ready to make a real impact in the lives of young people, we’d love to hear from you!

There is an occupational requirement for the post holder to be a practising Christian and member of the Anglican Church, in accordance with Schedule 9 to the Equality Act 2010.
