About

To engage and support young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds through developing projects, promoting participation, advocacy, and leadership, and maintaining a welcoming environment aligned with NOMAD’s values.

📍 Location: ARC House, HA1 3GR
🕒 Hours: 24 hours per week
💷 Pay: £14.50 per hour
👤 Reports to: Project Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold NOMAD policies, especially safeguarding, health & safety, and work collaboratively with colleagues and trustees.
  • Lead and manage projects within NOMAD’s work programme, including planning, budgeting, reporting, and representation.
  • Develop and implement effective outreach strategies to ensure diverse young people participate equally.
  • Support young people's leadership development by providing guidance and training.
  • Facilitate young people's advocacy efforts, helping them research issues, express views creatively, and connect with external stakeholders.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Youth work qualification required
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in youth or community work
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse communities and promote inclusion.
  • Knowledge of issues affecting young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds.
