You will provide strategic direction, mentor and multiply youth leaders, and champion a ministry that flourishes within the church while extending its influence across London. This role is about vision, leadership, and multiplication, ensuring the youth ministry inspires young people, develops leaders, and makes a tangible city wide impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee dynamic weekly gatherings for ages 11 to 18, creating environments that are welcoming, engaging, and faith filled
  • Build a strong culture of invitation, connection, and outreach
  • Strengthen engagement, retention, and momentum across youth events and programs while keeping parents informed and connected with the Youth Team
  • Develop scalable systems that support ongoing growth and participation

Youth Nights and Special Events

  • Plan, oversee, and deliver city youth nights and large scale youth events that are engaging, inspiring, and aligned with the vision of the ministry
  • Lead volunteer teams to deliver inspiring and well organised events
  • Oversee budgets and resource allocation for events, ensuring effective planning and reconciliation
  • Coordinate project planning including team structures, timelines, and milestones
  • Ensure operational excellence and safe environments by maintaining oversight of Health and Safety, safeguarding, and compliance
  • Oversee youth social media and content strategy to support engagement and storytelling

Discipleship Pathway

  • Create a clear journey from first time guests to committed disciples
  • Strengthen small groups and environments that support spiritual growth
  • Equip young people in leadership, biblical understanding, prayer, and evangelism
  • Identify and develop emerging youth leaders who can take ownership within the ministry

Leadership Development and Team Multiplication

  • Recruit, train, and empower volunteer youth leaders
  • Create structured leadership pathways and development tiers
  • Lead regular vision casting, training, and culture building initiatives
  • Develop a leadership culture marked by ownership, excellence, and pastoral care
  • Raise future leaders from within the youth community to ensure continuity and growth

City Wide Outreach and Impact

  • Strategically engage schools, communities, and youth networks across London
  • Host initiatives that reach unchurched young people
  • Equip young people to live as ambassadors of faith in everyday environments
  • Build a youth ministry known for making a positive impact across the city

Sundays and Central London Leadership

  • Lead the Core Team to plan, review, and implement ministry objectives aligned with the wider location vision
  • Develop a healthy leadership culture while mentoring volunteer youth leaders and emerging talent
  • Provide leadership training, vision casting, and team development
  • Oversee Sunday youth ministry ensuring young people are welcomed, engaged, and supported in their faith journey
  • Build and equip teams to run programs such as Refuel and Youth Connections
  • Contribute to Sunday services when required
  • Ensure effective follow up, community building, and leadership multiplication across Sunday teams
  • Align youth ministry strategy with the wider Central London vision and church life
  • Contribute to a unified team culture that champions collaboration, alignment, and excellence
  • Support larger church events including conferences, ministry nights, and special gatherings

Other Ministries and Larger Gatherings

  • Support the Location Pastor in delivering major church events including Conferences, Sisterhood, Men’s Nights, Kingdom Builders, and Carols
  • Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and the congregation to facilitate gatherings such as Baptisms, Ministry Nights, and Team Nights
  • Lead and equip volunteer teams to deliver events effectively while fostering ownership and teamwork
  • Ensure events reflect the vision and values of the youth ministry and the Central London location

Systems and Operational Oversight

  • Use ChurchSuite, Joyned, PS Online, Concur, and Microsoft 365 to support ministry operations and communication
  • Maintain compliance with safeguarding, GDPR, and Health and Safety standards
  • Manage volunteer onboarding, training, and compliance through internal systems
