Youth Lead

Grace Church Sailsbury has a thriving and growing youth ministry and is looking for someone who has a passion for working with young people, who is able to provide spiritual guidance and pastoral care for young people and lead, equip and support a team of volunteers. In addition, one day a week will be spent serving in the Operations team of Grace Church.

Details:

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week. Core office hours are 10 am-2 pm weekdays, 8:30-13:30 Sundays, with flexible working and understanding that youth ministry often happens at other times.  

Location: Salisbury (office-based, home working and ministry venues)

Closing date: 6th April 2026

‍Main Purpose of Job:

The Youth Lead will take responsibility for leading and developing the youth ministry at Grace Church. This includes:

• To take responsibility for the leadership and development of the church’s growing youth ministry.

• To disciple and pastor young people, helping them grow as followers of Jesus.

• To lead, equip, and support a capable team of youth volunteers.

• To help advance the objectives of Grace Church.

• To serve in the weekday operations team 1 day a week.

‍ We are looking for someone who:

• ‍Has a strong and growing faith in Jesus Christ

• Has a heart for making disciples of young people

• Is a confident and engaging communicator

• Is able to lead, develop, and encourage a team of volunteers

• Is organised and able to lead a growing ministry

‍Experience in youth ministry or working with young people would be highly desirable.
