Job Title:Youth Employment Hub Manager

Salary: £35,356- £39,037 per annum (depending on experience)

Location: CXK Hastings (on site only)

Contract: Full time

Reports to: Regional Manager

Job Purpose:

  • To operationally lead on the day to day delivery of services of an inclusive physical and virtual youth employment hub.
  • Ensure that the Hub provides access to education, training and skills development opportunities, including a structured programme of activities that builds confidence and skills, raises awareness of career pathways (including vocational routes, apprenticeships and traineeships), and links closely and signposts to relevant training, accredited and non-accredited provision.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for DWP Work Coaches, and lead engagement and co-ordination of delivery partners and employer using the Hub.
  • Manage day-to-day operational performance and provide regular reporting to DWP

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day operational management of the physical hub, and virtual access for some participants if required, including opening and closing of the building, facilities management, ensuring the hub is staffed correctly to operate in line with contract requirements and managing the flow of clients accessing the hub and supporting staff utilising the hubs facilities.
  • Lead on developing and maintaining relationships with all partners required to deliver from the hub.
  • Meet the requirements of the DWP including volumes, targets, tracking, follow-up, evidence gathering and validation and ensure targets reflect the requirements of the contract.
  • Develop, promote and lead an inclusive programme of activities for young people accessing the hub for example, CV writing, employability events, housing support or mental health
  • provision, and exploring potential pathways including; education, apprenticeships, self-employment, and first step confidence building.
  • Provide line management and support for the Youth Employment Worker and Employment Support Adviser, providing supervision,identifyingtraining needs, planningtrainingsessions and managing performance against personal and teamobjectives.
  • Oversee caseload management of all young people accessing the Hub, liaising with the team and partners as required.
  • Provide direct support to a small caseload of young people to support management of caseload capacity.
  • Engage with employers to support progression of Hub clients, securing opportunities for work experience, workplace tasters, visits, talks, and recruitment events.
  • Work closely with other CXK contracts in the East Sussex area, ensuring a smooth integrated pathway for beneficiaries to access all CXK opportunities.
  • Ensure the service is delivering in alignment with all CXK policies and procedures including safeguarding, health and safety, data protection and equality, diversity and inclusion.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties that may be required from time to time. The duties may be changed and/or varied to meet changing circumstances at the discretion of Management.

All appointees will be subject to an enhanced DBS Check.
