Youth and Families Minister
This role is employed locally by the parish working in partnership with the Centenary Project an initiative of the Diocese of Sheffield
This is an opportunity to join our growing team at St Columba, working as a Youth and Families Minister.
We are looking for a committed Christian to join our team who has experience in working with young people and their families who will develop and co-ordinate the work in the life of the church and the wider community.
The church community is a covenant relationship between St Columba’s Anglican Church in the Diocese of Sheffield and Stephen Hill Methodist Church in the Sheffield Methodist Circuit.
- 25 hours per week
- Salary £18,214 (£25,500 FTE)
- 5 years fixed-term contract

General responsibilities:
- To build strong relationships with existing staff and volunteers through effective communication and collaboration, while actively recruiting and integrating new volunteers to support our mission and activities.
- To develop links with local families, building relationships and becoming a key person within the local community
- To be part of the Centenary Project Network, an initiative of the Diocese of Sheffield.

Given the nature and context of the work it is an occupational requirement that the post holder should be a communicant member of the Church of England or a full member of a church within Churches Together in Britain and Ireland.
