Young Person’s Recovery Trainee
Location – Southend-On-Sea
Hours – 22.5 per week
Working Pattern – 3 days a week (to be confirmed with successful candidate)
Salary – £25,000 per annum pro rata
Contract – Fixed Term (2 years)

Open Road provides drug and alcohol treatment services and offender support services across Essex & Kent including a range of structured interventions that deliver mentoring, advice and relapse prevention programmes. What is the role?
As a Recovery Trainee, you’ll be a key part of our Young Persons Service in Southend, supporting young people aged 10-17 and the transitional age of 18-29 with issues around drugs, alcohol, wellbeing and mental health.
This is a learning role, where you’ll gain experience while being supported by a dedicated team. You’ll work closely with young people and their families to help them access the right support and begin their journey toward healthier, more stable futures.

What you need
– Excellent communication, time management and administrative skills.
– A willingness to learn and work with a variety of people.
– Have a clear understanding of, and a commitment to safeguarding best practice.
– A commitment to multi-agency working, and be able to work in partnership with other agencies within the treatment system to achieve good outcomes for clients.
– Excellent team working and interpersonal skills, maintaining a highly cooperative approach to supporting colleagues in delivering service objective.
