Carers’ Resource is excited to announce a new opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of carers.

2 x Young Carer Practitioners, Bradford District

We currently have one 18 hour post and one sessional post.

Location: Bradford District

Office base: Shipley

Responsible to: Young Carers Service Manager

Salary: £24,437 – £26,802 (full-time equivalent)

Sessional rate: £13.52 per hour

Pay award pending

You will be supporting the social and emotional wellbeing of young carers (age 5-18) in Bradford District through a mixture of one-to-one and group/activity work.

Proven ability in improving the wellbeing of children and young people is essential, including setting up and running activities for children and young people, individual and group work skills, knowledge of the issues facing young carers and the ability to engage with children and young people in a variety of ways.

The post will require some early evening work and flexibility regarding activities with young carers during school holidays. The roles are based from the Shipley Office with support for young carers also delivered in community settings and schools.

Driving Licence and access to a vehicle is essential for both posts.

Salary scale quoted for 37 hours per week.
