Join us in our mission to power the
potential of young people

Global Fund for Children (GFC) works to build

a world where all children and youth are safe,
strong, and valued. We partner with innovative,
locally-led organisations and individuals, helping

them deepen their impact and mobilize their

capacity for social change. By pairing flexible

funding with targeted capacity development

support, we help our partners grow stronger and

more responsive to challenges on the ground.

Since 1997, we have invested more than $44

million in over 700 organisations. Our work

these focus areas: education, gender justice,

youth power, safety and wellbeing and climate

resilience.

We value courage, excellence, learning,

partnership, and inclusion, as well as kindness

and passion. Our partners’ visions for change

inspire all we do. Feedback and learning drive us

About the Workshop

GFC is convening a two-day learning and framing
workshop on June 9-10, 2026, in London to:

• Explore and consolidate our organizational

experience with masculinities
programming across a continuum of
focused and more exploratory work in this
space with community-based
organizations that GFC funds

• Deepen our collective thinking about what

we mean by healthy or caring masculinities
in a cross-regional context
Identify what we want to support, resource,
and champion in this field going forward,
resulting in a working framework to
describe GFC’s approach.

A core internal group at GFC will play a
meaningful role in the design of the workshop.
The facilitator will work in partnership with this
team to finalize a workshop agenda.

Global Fund for Children (GFC) is seeking an
experienced facilitator to contribute to design and
guide a two-day workshop focused on
masculinities programming. This is an exciting

and support transformative masculinities work
across our regions.

• Co-designing the two-day workshop

agenda in collaboration with GFC's core
team

• Creating a participatory and reflective

learning environment

• Holding both the emotional and analytical
dimensions of masculinities work with skill
and care

• Weaving together GFC staff experience,
and regional perspectives into coherent
outputs

• Guiding the group toward actionable
insights and a working framework
document that can inform GFC's future
grantmaking and programming

• Creating and sharing a working framework
document and a summary document with
key insights, tensions, and decisions
following the workshop

Ideal Profile & Expertise

We are looking for someone who brings:

• Proven experience facilitating multi-day

learning, strategy, or co-design processes
with diverse groups

• Experience with masculinities and/or

gender justice

• Cross-cultural competency, with the ability
to hold regional nuance while building
shared conceptual ground across multiple
geographies

• Experience working with international
NGOs, grantmakers, or philanthropic
intermediaries — understanding the
specific lens and responsibility of a funder
deciding what to support

• A participatory and feminist facilitation

orientation that models equity in the room
and creates space for diverse voices
• Ability to foster an engaging, playful space
that balances the weight of heavy topics

• Comfort working in complexity and

ambiguity, with the ability to adapt in real
time

• Familiarity with intersectional approaches
connecting masculinities to age, race,
class, disability, and other dimensions of
identity

Practical Considerations

• London or UK-based if possible (the
workshop will be held in London)

English-speaking)

• Available for pre-workshop design

collaboration with GFC's core team and

•

completion of post-workshop
documentation
Independent consultant or affiliated with an
