Feedback and learning drive us About the Workshop GFC is convening a two-day learning and framing workshop on June 9-10, 2026, in London to: • Explore and consolidate our organizational experience with masculinities programming across a continuum of focused and more exploratory work in this space with community-based organizations that GFC funds • Deepen our collective thinking about what we mean by healthy or caring masculinities in a cross-regional context Identify what we want to support, resource, and champion in this field going forward, resulting in a working framework to describe GFC’s approach. A core internal group at GFC will play a meaningful role in the design of the workshop. The facilitator will work in partnership with this team to finalize a workshop agenda. Role of the External Facilitator advances the rights of children and youth across • to do better, and we strive to be youth-centered. The facilitator will be responsible for: Global Fund for Children (GFC) is seeking an experienced facilitator to contribute to design and guide a two-day workshop focused on masculinities programming. This is an exciting opportunity to partner with a global intermediary funder in shaping how we understand, articulate, and support transformative masculinities work across our regions. • Co-designing the two-day workshop agenda in collaboration with GFC's core team • Creating a participatory and reflective learning environment • Holding both the emotional and analytical dimensions of masculinities work with skill and care • Weaving together GFC staff experience, and regional perspectives into coherent outputs 2 • Guiding the group toward actionable insights and a working framework document that can inform GFC's future grantmaking and programming • Creating and sharing a working framework document and a summary document with key insights, tensions, and decisions following the workshop Ideal Profile & Expertise We are looking for someone who brings: • Proven experience facilitating multi-day learning, strategy, or co-design processes with diverse groups • Experience with masculinities and/or gender justice • Cross-cultural competency, with the ability to hold regional nuance while building shared conceptual ground across multiple geographies • Experience working with international NGOs, grantmakers, or philanthropic intermediaries — understanding the specific lens and responsibility of a funder deciding what to support • A participatory and feminist facilitation orientation that models equity in the room and creates space for diverse voices • Ability to foster an engaging, playful space that balances the weight of heavy topics • Comfort working in complexity and ambiguity, with the ability to adapt in real time • Familiarity with intersectional approaches connecting masculinities to age, race, class, disability, and other dimensions of identity Practical Considerations • London or UK-based if possible (the workshop will be held in London) • Fluency in English (all participants are English-speaking) • Available for pre-workshop design collaboration with GFC's core team and • completion of post-workshop documentation Independent consultant or affiliated with an organization, with a track record of similar engagements • Due to both managing active facilitation and documentation, the consultant will likely opt to engage a support person on their team.
