The Percy Hedley Foundation is one of the largest regional charities supporting people with a range of learning and physical needs. We take a person centred, flexible approach to the care and support we provide. We have five sites providing specialist education, adult day services, residential care and independent supported living to our service users. Our sites are based in Forest Hall, Killingworth, Jesmond, Newcastle City Centre and North Shields.
We work towards excellence every day and our team members are committed to delivering the very best outcomes for the people we support. Our dynamic and flexible service is tailored to the specific needs of the individual, making it easier to live, learn and be part of a world adapting to change.
The Role
We are seeking to recruit a Work Experience Co-ordinator to support the Hedleys Beyond Team in delivering a successful Employability Programme across Horizons, enabling our service users to reach their full potential.
The Hedleys Beyond Project strengthens the connection between The Percy Hedley Foundation, employers and local communities, creating meaningful opportunities that support employability, confidence and inclusion for students and members. Through a person-centred approach, the project helps individuals identify their strengths, interests and aspirations, and access opportunities that promote independence and personal growth.
The role of the Work Experience Co-ordinator is to provide tailored, individualised support to service users, helping them to recognise their skills, build confidence and develop the knowledge and behaviours needed to become work ready. The post holder will support individuals to access meaningful volunteering opportunities and experiences that align with their goals and aspirations, creating positive outcomes that enhance confidence, independence and employability skills.
We are looking for enthusiastic, adaptable and compassionate individuals to join the team who are committed to delivering best practice and empowering people to achieve their potential.
This is a full-time role, working 52 weeks per year.
