MGTS is an innovative and resourceful leader in the provision of workforce development solutions through education, training and assessment providing apprentice training as well as a full range of commercial courses.

MGTS is continually developing and expanding its portfolio of technical delivery to industry and as a consequence is now seeking to recruit a Welding Technical Trainer with a sound background in fabrication and welding. The core responsibility of the role is the delivery of training and assessment to learners of all ages in core welding skills. In addition, basic fabrication, fitting and assembly experience would be advantageous, as would essential welding experience in:

MAG Welding
TIG Welding
MMA Welding

Role Requirements:

Driving licence
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Self-starter who is proactive and organised
Deliver training sessions and assess learners’ performance against competency standards
Create training materials
Produce progress reports
Monitor and support candidate development
Experience of working to a QA system

Salary and Benefits:

A starting annual salary of £42,500 is offered to the successful candidate, together with 25 days annual holiday, plus 8 statutory days, pension and private medical insurance.

Monday to Friday – 36 hours
