JOB DESCRIPTION Weekend Wellbeing Advisor Reports To: Wellbeing Co-ordinator Direct Reports: None, occasional support of Volunteers Location: The Hollies, New Milton Hours: 6 hours every other Saturday, 9.30am – 3.30pm Salary Range: £24,242 to £24,975 pro rata per annum (Solent Mind band A) Purpose: To provide wellbeing support to service users at our wellbeing centres and in the community. The role includes delivering a timetable of activities, groups and opportunities to promote wellbeing, foster positive social connections and increase independence. Principal Accountabilities: Facilitate activity groups within the centres and community settings. To engage with service users to identify needs, and plan work accordingly. To support and encourage participants to identify their own strengths, triggers and life goals. Share with other Solent Mind staff and other agencies as appropriate information regarding the service users’ wellbeing in line with Solent Mind policies and procedures To adhere to and support the development of relevant procedures and guidelines as they relate to the service, in particularly raising safeguarding concerns as appropriate. To complete and understand risk assessments and procedures as appropriate. To maintain appropriate records of participation and progress, recording on CRM as required Develop links and maintain good relationships with local community. To attend team meetings and supervision as required, and complete all training as required. General: Adhere to the aims, values, policies and procedures of Solent Mind, particularly safeguarding and health & safety. This list is non exhaustive and other duties may be required to meet the needs of Solent Mind Page 1 of 2 PERSON SPECIFICATION Weekend Wellbeing Advisor Requirement Qualifications/Education/Training: (Minimum standard of education and professional qualifications (RQF level) required to achieve the purpose of the job to a fully satisfactory level) Educated to a minimum level 2 standard or extensive relevant experience. Experience: (What type and depth of experience is required to perform the duties to a fully satisfactory level) Experience of working with vulnerable people with diverse needs. Experience of working in a mental health setting. Experience of providing support and/or guidance to people with mental health issues. Experience of working in partnership/multi agency working. Knowledge/Skills/Competencies: Good local knowledge or the ability research and identify appropriate community resources Demonstrate the knowledge, confidence and skills to work with people with a range of needs. Demonstrate a knowledge of mental health services, and wider related groups and organisations. Excellent team working skills including listening, constructive feedback, respect and dignity and skill sharing.
