Waking Night Support Worker

FitzRoy are recruiting Waking Night Support Workers for our supported living service in Witney.

You will be supporting four adults (three males and one female) in their 20s and 30s who have learning disabilities and autism, and may display behaviours that challenge. This is a rewarding opportunity to support people to live independently while promoting wellbeing, safety and choice.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly and supportive team. The people we support all have different personalities, needs and interests, meaning every shift can be different. You will play a vital role in encouraging independence and supporting our residents to live fulfilling lives.

Pay and Hours

  • £13.91 per hour
  • 36 hours per week
  • 4 nights per week
  • Shift:9:00pm – 7:00am (Waking Night)
  • Weekend working is essential, with days off during the week when you work weekends
  • + £2.50 per hour overtime(over contracted hours)
  • Time and a half or double timefor public holidays

What Does a Waking Night Support Worker Do?

A support worker’s role is varied, rewarding and meaningful. You will:

  • Support each person according to their

    individual needs
  • Encourage and promote

    independence
  • Assist with

    personal care, such as showers and baths
  • Carry out

    light household duties
  • Provide reassurance and support throughout the night

  • Follow positive behaviour support approaches where required

No previous experience in care is required – full training and support will be provided.
