About the Role
The Volunteering Delivery Lead supports the day‑to‑day delivery of volunteering across allocated areas, ensuring models, systems and culture are embedded and aligned with Waythrough’s values. The role focuses on volunteer engagement, recruitment, quality, development and building strong internal and external partnerships.
Key Duties
- Oversee daily volunteering activity and ensure best practice is followed.
- Recruit, induct, support and retain a diverse volunteer workforce.
- Provide supervision, wellbeing support and training for volunteers.
- Monitor compliance, safeguarding, DBS and quality standards.
- Build partnerships, including Employer Supported Volunteering opportunities.
- Maintain records, reporting and contribute to strategic volunteering projects.
About You
You’re an organised, people‑focused leader with strong communication skills and experience supporting, training or supervising others. You can recruit volunteers, manage wellbeing and risk assessments, and work confidently in a fast‑paced environment. You’re empathetic, values‑driven, open to learning, and able to build positive relationships with volunteers, colleagues and partners.
