Gordon Moody

Description of the role

We are currently looking for compassionate and reliable volunteers to support residents at Gordon Moody as they rebuild their lives from Gambling harm and establish healthier routines.

Many of our residents are in a structured recovery programme and benefit greatly from having someone alongside them as they re-engage with everyday activities. Volunteers play an important role in this process by accompanying residents on day-to-day outings such as going to the gym, attending medical appointments, shopping, or taking part in positive leisure activities.

Having a supportive presence helps residents stay focused, build confidence, and maintain a sense of routine while they work towards greater independence. Your time and encouragement can make a meaningful difference, offering both practical support and friendly companionship.

We are looking for:

  • Individuals who are patient, understanding, and able to commit to supporting residents in a respectful and non-judgemental way.
  • No specialist experience is required just a willingness to help and a genuine interest in supporting others.

Volunteers are kindly asked to avoid participating in or encouraging any form of gambling activities while carrying out their duties.
