Volunteer Survivor Support Officer
As part of the Diocese of Sheffield’s commitment to supporting victims and survivors of church-related abuse, we are seeking compassionate and empathetic individuals to join our Survivor Support team.
This role provides a safe, non-judgmental and confidential space where survivors can share their experiences, feel heard and access the support they need. Working alongside the Diocesan Safeguarding Team, the Survivor Support Officer helps ensure that each individual receives compassionate support that is responsive to their unique needs and circumstances.

Applicants are asked to submit their expression of interest (via the attached proforma) with a supporting statement outlining their suitability for the role to the Safeguarding Team at safeguarding@sheffield.anglican.org
Applicants will be invited to an initial conversation with the HR Manager to discuss their suitability for the role. Successful applicants will follow the Church of England Safer Recruitment process (DBS, References and Safeguarding Training).
