Volunteer Recruitment and Support Volunteer - Bristol

Bristol
Part-time
Listed today

We are looking for a volunteer to support the growth of our Side by Side service across Bristol by helping us reach new communities and inspire more people to get involved.

In this role, you’ll help promote volunteering opportunities by building links with local groups and organisations, attending events, and speaking to people in the community about the difference volunteers can make. You might do this through phone calls, emails, outreach visits, or informal conversations in community spaces.

Your support will play a vital role in helping us attract more volunteers, so we can ensure more people living with dementia are able to access meaningful companionship and stay connected to their communities through Side by Side.

We could not provide the help we do to people living with dementia without the support of our fantastic volunteers. Do you want to help by encouraging people to volunteer for us, or by supporting existing volunteers in their roles?

The Volunteer Recruitment and Support role is extensive and varied. You could be helping a member of staff with many different aspects of volunteering activity within the Society, or you may concentrate on one area such as attraction, recruitment or ongoing support. Prior to starting to volunteer we will talk with you and come to an agreement about how you would like to be involved. Examples of some of the activities you may help with are, going to local events to promote volunteering opportunities at the Society, supporting volunteer managers as they meet and chat with potential volunteers, buddying up with a new volunteer to help them settle into their volunteer role.

  • You are self-motivated, organised and confident to volunteer independently and within a local team.
