At Lindsey Lodge Hospice and Healthcare our team of over 250 dedicated volunteers are at the heart of our services and help us maintain a place of kindness, dignity and compassion. We are now looking for a part time volunteer co-ordinator to support, develop and inspire our volunteer workforce. This is a really exciting new role and provides an opportunity to shape the volunteer experience at our Charity where every person matters.
You will:
- Recruit, support and retain a diverse and committed volunteer team
- Build strong links with line managers across clinical and support services
- Support the development of a forward thinking volunteer strategy aligned with Hospice goals
- Ensure safe, effective and meaningful volunteer involvement
- Champion inclusivity and wellbeing
- Build effective links within our community across North Lincolnshire.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with or leading volunteers
- Has excellent people skills
- Is highly organised and confident managing competing priorities
- Can think strategically while delivering operationally
- Understands safeguarding and volunteer best practice
- Shares our commitment to our CARE values of compassion, above and beyond, respect and dignity, and excellence.

The Role
- Support the development of key volunteering initiatives and projects across the Charity. The post holder will play a key role in supporting colleagues in identifying opportunities to embed volunteering across their teams.
- Lead on the recruitment, induction and ongoing support of volunteers across all the areas of the Charity ensuring unbiased outcomes, and oversee on boarding arrangements, through to exit from volunteering including the investigation and resolution of any complaints and concerns.
- Build strong relationships with external organisations and act as an ambassador for volunteering within the community.
- Support the Head of Workforce and Business Support in creating an effective workforce function, contributing to a culture across the workforce in which people feel happy and proud to work at the Charity.
- Lead and manage two part time administrative volunteers.
- Act as an advocate for volunteering, ensuring the volunteer voice is sought and considered and that it remains integral to the Charity’s success.
