Please note that this position will require you to work at least one day per weekend due to The Piece Hall being a venue open to the public seven days per week.
The Piece Hall are looking to recruit a Visitor Experience Assistant on a part-time basis for a minimum of 10 hours per week. The position involves working in the Visitor Centre which is open 11am – 3pm seven days a week, answering customer enquiries in person, over the phone, or via email, and managing coach tours of visitors. You will manage ticket sales and enquiries in relation to our range of events (including the live music events), manage customer complaints with the Head of Visitor Experience, and provide information on Halifax and the wider area. The position also includes selling merchandise and cash handling.
The ideal candidate will have previous customer service, cash handling, and complaints handling experience. We are looking for an individual who is confident working independently, the ability to keep up in fast-paced environments, is enthusiastic and motivated, and a passion for heritage, art and culture. Previous experience working within a box office or merchandising experience would be advantageous.
