About the role

We are seeking a Vicar who:

  • has a mature, disciplined prayer life and a desire to help others grow in faith

  • can lead a large, inclusive church with humility and clarity of vision, inspiring others to work collaboratively in the service of God’s kingdom

  • is an engaging and thoughtful preacher and teacher, able to communicate scripture in ways that are clear, relevant, and adapted to different contexts

  • brings a strong pastoral instinct, with the ability to build and sustain a culture of shared pastoral care

  • will honour and sustain the beauty of worship, including a commitment to dignified, excellent liturgy and the choral tradition

  • is at ease in civic and public settings

  • is financially and strategically aware, with the capacity to oversee fundraising initiatives and support the long-term sustainability of the Minster.
