About Newton Stewart Initiative
Newton Stewart Initiative (NSI) is a community development organisation delivering projects and services that improve the lives of people in Newton Stewart and the surrounding area. With a growing programme of activities at Vibe 75, NSI is seeking an enthusiastic assistant to support day-to-day operations.
Role Overview
The Vibe 75 Project Assistant will provide essential administrative and organisational support to ensure the smooth running of Vibe 75. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop workplace skills and gain experience in a friendly, community-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
• To manage bookings in Vibe 75 from initial enquiries to ensuring invoices are sent
• Managing a diary of events for Vibe 75
• Opening up and locking up for various groups
• Creating window displays and decoration
• Sourcing funding opportunities for events to be held in Vibe 75, planning event calendar for the year
• Using social media to promote the space for hire
• Ensuring certificates and documents are filed and kept up to date
• Writing a monthly report on the centre and activities taking place
• Supporting NSI in its day to day role as a charity
• Working at events on a weekend
Essential Requirements
• Good communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude.
• Basic organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and take initiative.
• Take pride in your work
• Enjoy working with the public, this is a customer facing role and as such you will be working with members of the public
Desirable Skills & Experience
• Some previous experience in an office or administrative role.
• Basic IT skills, including familiarity with email, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), or Google Workspace.
• Experience using social media or website tools (not essential).
