Contract:Permanent, full time (35 hours per week)

Salary:£28,573 - £33,224 per annum

Location:Hybrid role based at any of our hospitals or our Burford offices, with frequent travel to our Veterinary hospitals in London and Grimsby.

More about the role

You can really make the role your own while supporting our Veterinary Support Lead with all clinical procurement processes across our animal hospitals, located at three sites in London and one in Grimsby. The role offers a dynamic hybrid working environment, with regular opportunities to visit our hospitals and build strong connections with the teams on the ground.

Acting as the first point of contact for procurement enquiries, you will provide essential front-line support to colleagues and suppliers, ensuring queries are handled efficiently and effectively. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organisation, administration and problem-solving, and who thrives in a busy and varied environment.

Using your clinical knowledge and expertise, you will help inform procurement decisions and proactively identify opportunities to support the needs of the veterinary directorate. You will coordinate and manage enquiries from both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring they are resolved or escalated appropriately. The role also involves supporting purchasing activity, coordinating tender and supplier review processes, and maintaining accurate records including price lists, asset registers, equipment catalogues, and contract registers. In addition, you will support the invoicing process and assist with administration and invoicing for our charity partners, helping to ensure procurement operations run smoothly across all sites.

About you

We’re looking for someone with a background in healthcare or the clinical sector who’s excited about using their knowledge to make a difference in medical procurement. If you understand how medication and clinical equipment are used or sourced, especially within a veterinary practice - you’ll be perfectly placed to help guide smart, practical purchasing decisions.

You’re naturally proactive and happy working both independently and as part of a team, bringing plenty of initiative and energy to what you do. You’re great at juggling priorities, staying calm when things get busy and meeting deadlines. Most importantly, you’re a confident communicator who enjoys building strong relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and stakeholders, helping everything run smoothly behind the scenes.
