An excellent opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual, to join the Royal Veterinary College, Queen Mother Hospital for Animals as a Veterinary Infection Control Assistant. We are a multidisciplinary small animal veterinary referral hospital, and, in this role, you will be required to maintain a high standard of infection prevention and control across all clinical areas of the hospital reporting to the Veterinary Infection Control Manager.

As part of the team, you will be a clinical cleaner working alongside our friendly and experienced Registered Veterinary Nurses, Patient Care Assistants, Veterinary Surgeons, Residents, Interns and Students. You will be a supportive and compassionate team player, with excellent organisational and record keeping abilities.

Duties will include:

  • Daily decontamination of clinical areas (high level clinical cleaning)
  • Stock rotation and supply to all hospital areas.
  • Assisting teams with the transportation of infectious patients throughout the hospital maintaining infection control protocols
  • Supporting compliance and training of infection prevention and control standards within clinical areas
