Job Title: Valour Partnerships & Engagement Lead Reports To: HOS Veterans / Senior Service Manager Grade: J Hours: The role is primarily worked Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, with occasional requirements to work outside these hours. Based at Riverside Service Areas: Veteran Primary Focus The Valour Partnerships & Engagement Lead is responsible for leading and coordinating effective partnership working across the VALOUR Recognised Centre (VRC) and its wider consortium. The role ensures that partner organisations, statutory agencies and community services work collaboratively to deliver high-quality, trauma-informed, strengths-based support aligned to VALOUR outcomes across housing, health, employment and wellbeing. A central focus of the role is acting as a partnership and system lead, supporting integrated pathways, shared standards and consistent practice across multiple organisations. The role operates within a defined VALOUR geography and does not hold organisation-wide responsibility. Scope & Accountability The Partnership Manager contributes significantly to operational effectiveness and system coordination but holds delegated line-management responsibility for the Housing Officer (VALOUR), including supervision, performance management, wellbeing support and professional development. Working closely with the Veteran Head Of Service, VRC staff, senior leaders within partner organisations and external stakeholders, the role supports day-to-day partnership delivery and problem-solving. Accountability includes ensuring that partnership activity meets the needs of beneficiaries, aligns with organisational values and complies with VALOUR, OVA, contractual, safeguarding and regulatory requirements. The role facilitates clear communication across partners, identifies and escalates risks or delivery concerns, and supports the smooth operation of the VRC as a hub within a wider hub-and-spoke model, including outreach and virtual provision. The remit is limited to the agreed VALOUR partnership and geography rather than the whole organisation. Financial Responsibility The Partnership Manager supports effective financial stewardship across the VALOUR partnership by contributing to oversight of partner-related funding 1 | P a g e arrangements, deliverables and evidence requirements. While not holding overall budget responsibility, the role supports value for money by reducing duplication, maximising collective resources and ensuring partnership activity aligns with agreed budgets and contractual expectations. The post supports accurate and timely financial and performance information from partners, contributing to audit readiness, commissioner assurance and the sustainability of the VALOUR programme. Leadership & Practice The Partnership Manager provides leadership through influence, coordination and professional credibility alongside direct line management of the Housing Officer. The role models and promotes trauma-informed, strengths-based and person-centred practice across the partnership, supporting consistent standards and safe delivery. Responsibilities include convening partnership forums, facilitating reflective practice and learning, supporting the resolution of complex cross-agency issues, and strengthening collaboration between housing, health, employment and wellbeing services. A key element of the role is proactive relationship-building with commissioners, statutory bodies and voluntary sector partners to position the VALOUR partnership as a trusted, reliable and effective system contributor.
