Union Team Member (Customer Service Roles)

Location: Staffordshire Students' Union, Stoke-on-Trent

Hourly Rate: Starting at £12.75 per hour + 12.7% holiday pay

Hours: Flexible, up to 32 hours per fortnight

🌟About the role

This is a varied, hands-on role at the heart of the Students’ Union. You could find yourself:

  • Serving food, drinks and retail products
  • Working in busy our busy coffee bar, bars and shops
  • Supporting events and evening entertainment
  • Helping students with queries and promoting Union services
  • Keeping our spaces clean, safe and welcoming

You may be considered for one or more of the following:

  • Bar Staff
  • Barista
  • Retail Assistant
  • Kitchen Staff

Our roles offer different working environments, so it’s important to consider what suits you:

  • Some roles are fast-paced and high pressure, especially during peak periods
  • Bar roles can involve loud, high-energy environments and late-night work
  • Barista roles require speed, accuracy and consistency
  • Retail and kitchen roles involve being on your feet, handling stock or preparing food

We’ll ask about your preferences and suitability as part of your application.

  • Mandatory Induction training will take place on Friday 11th Septemberwith shifts commencing shortly afterwards.
