Join Releasing Potential as a Tutor – Make a Real Difference in Children’s
Lives

At Releasing Potential, we don’t just teach – we transform lives.

We support children with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) who face
challenges linked to social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH). Every day brings
opportunities to celebrate small wins that truly matter.

We are looking for Tutors, Learning Support Assistants, and Support Workers
who are passionate about education and ready to make a real difference.

Why Work With Us

 Small groups & 1:1 learning – Tailored lessons that make education

meaningful and accessible.

 Hands-on, heart-led approach – Every lesson inspires curiosity, confidence,

and engagement.

 Supportive team – Share ideas, grow your skills and celebrate success

together.

 Real impact – Watch small steps lead to big transformations in children’s

lives.

The Role – Tutor

As a Tutor, you will:

 Deliver a flexible, engaging curriculum that sparks curiosity.

 Support children in small groups or 1:1, outside traditional classrooms.

 Build trusting relationships, showing students you care before you teach.

 Personalise lessons to meet individual needs.

 Use Glasser’s Choice Theory to help students balance survival, love &

belonging, power, freedom, and fun.

What We’re Looking For

 A valid UK driving licence (essential).

 Understanding of SEMH, trauma-informed practice, and communication

differences.

 Patience, empathy, and resilience.

 Creativity and curiosity – you’ll need both every day.

 SEN experience is welcome but not essential – passion matters most.

What We Offer

 Full-time salary starting at £26,481 – real stability all year.

 Generous pension scheme with substantial contributions.

 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme for your wellbeing.

 Ongoing training and nationally recognised qualifications.

 A team that supports you and celebrates your skills.

Safeguarding Commitment

We take safeguarding seriously. All roles involve working directly with children and
fall under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exemptions) Order 1975.
This requires disclosure of any convictions, cautions, warnings, or bind-overs,
including those considered “spent.”

Candidates will also undergo enhanced DBS & barred list checks, plus online and
social media screening to help keep our young people safe.
