Business acumen/commercial strategy

Marketing

Digital strategy

Grant fundraising

Corporate fundraising

Individual giving fundraising

Major donor fundraising

Accountancy

HR management and process

Charity law

Based in Glasgow but volunteer roles can be based anywhere.

What difference will you make?

At The Sound Lab, they believe that ‘music matters’ and that music and creativity should not just be available for those who can readily access and afford it; it should be available to everyone. Their vision is that everyone should have equal access to the resources and support they need to fulfil their creative potential, and our work focuses on children and young people who often do not receive the same opportunities as their peers, specifically care experienced young people; children with disabilities; and young people from an unaccompanied, asylum-seeking or refugee background. Your part in this will be to help develop and grow the charity so that they can meet the rising demand for their work.

Before you apply

Please drop Paul, Chair, an email and tell Sound Lab why you would like to volunteer with them and what skills you can offer. An initial informal phone call/Teams call will be arranged. Following that, they’ll look to hold an information session with successful interested applicants (date tbc but likely late spring/early summer 2026).
