There are vacancies for new directors and trustees of the Yorkshire Air Museum & Allied Air
Forces Memorial.

As a registered charity and accredited museum, we are proud of our national and international
reputation, unique collection of aircraft and archives, strong visitor numbers and dedicated
staff supported by more than 100 volunteers in all departments. We are seeking new members
to join the Board of Trustees who can contribute to our strategic vision and help us expand
and enhance the site for future generations.

This is a great opportunity for regionally based individuals who have senior management or
board experience and can demonstrate sound judgement in strategic decision making.
Experience in the following areas especially welcome: finance, conservation of historic
buildings, fundraising campaigns, project management, community, education and military
partnerships.

Non-executive Directors: if your experience is in retail or hospitality, we are also looking
for non-executive directors for the board of our trading company, YAMCO.  This is owned
by the charity and runs the commercial arm of the organisation, including our on-site café and
shop, where your experience would offer support and guidance.

The Appointments: Trustees and directors are appointed for a maximum of nine years, split
into three, three-year terms.

Time Requirements: Boards meet six to seven times a year with standing sub-committees or
working groups to enable you to be involved and make a difference. Meetings are held
weekdays, on site and virtually.

Remuneration: Trustees give their services on an honorary basis and receive no
remuneration, except for expenses reasonably incurred in performance of their duties.
