Pride Action North are recruiting for committed Trustees for our LGBTQIA+ charity based in the North East of England

Pride Action North is a leading LGBTQIA+ charity providing a wide range of support services across Northumberland, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Gateshead and beyond.

Our overriding mission is to make the world a safer, more inclusive and accepting place for everybody to live, and to end discrimination in all its forms.

We offer a range of services for both young people and adults, including one-to-one support, counselling, groups, mental health and wellbeing support, domestic and sexual violence and abuse support, hate crime support, and schools work. We also provide a range of services to promote inclusivity and diversity within the workplace; such as inclusivity workshops, protected characteristics workshops, information and advice, advocacy, as well as awareness-raising programs.

As a Trustee, you will help ensure that this established charity continues to deliver on its vision and keeps to its core values. The Board of Trustees are both jointly and individually responsible for the governance and strategic direction of the charity, its financial health and its activities in accordance with our governing documents and legal and regulatory guidelines. You will preferably have experience in a particular area and provide the charity with expertise in any of the following areas: training, fundraising, human resources, marketing, mental health or volunteering.
