Treasurer (Trustee)

Location: Hybrid, mainly from home 

Salary: This is a volunteer role so no salary is payable, however expenses will be covered

Hours:  Approximately 6-8 hours per month:  4 board meetings and 4 Finance subgroup meetings per year, plus preparation time and additional involvement around year-end and audit. 

About the role

As Treasurer, you will:

  • Provide strategic financial oversight
  • Chair the Finance subgroup (meets quarterly)
  • Present financial reports to the board
  • Oversee annual accounts and audit
  • Support the CEO and Finance Manager

What we’re looking for:

    • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or significant financial experience
    • Ability to interpret financial statements and communicate clearly
    • Strategic thinking and sound judgement
    • Commitment to our mission

    Charity finance experience is desirable but not essential – we can provide training.

We run education programmes with young people in schools, training for professionals and behaviour change programmes, as well as raising awareness of where to get help and support. We also run a helpline and support services for men and LGBTQ+ people experiencing abuse living in Nottinghamshire.
