Why not join our dedicated group of Trustees and shape the way TCF works.
The Care Forum known as TCF is a registered charity working across Bristol, South Gloucestershire, Bath and North East Somerset, Wiltshire, Swindon, North Somerset and Gloucestershire. We have grown substantially in recent years and employ around 27 members of staff plus volunteers.
Our mission is that people receive the quality of health and care they need, communities are better engaged, people know that their voice is heard.
Our values are:
- Empowering:we remove barriers and give people a voice
- Influencing:we shape and create change that matters
- Collaborating:we bring people, communities and organisations together for a purpose
We fulfil our Mission and Values by:
- facilitating communication, consultation and networking for local voluntary and community groups operating in the fields of Health and Social Care;
- empowering and supporting people to voice issues about local statutory and voluntary health and social care services and to influence the direction of policy and practice;
- providing an extensive range of information about and signposting to local health, well-being and care services;
- Managing the Healthwatch programmes for Swindon, Bath and North East Somerset, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.
Our Trustees are all volunteers whose primary duties are to set and lead the strategic direction of the charity, to hold the executive officers to account and to oversee the finances and resources of the organisation to ensure they are properly administered.
As Treasurer, you will play a key role in ensuring TCF remains financially sustainable and compliant, while supporting strategic decision-making. You will work closely with the CEO and our Senior Finance Manager to provide oversight, guidance, and assurance to the Board.
The Board of Trustees meets six times a year, mainly online.
Full information and support is available to help new Trustees get involved.
