Background

NADAS is a not for profit incorporated charity with charitable purposes relating to the promotion of agriculture,
horticulture, forestry and rural crafts, and the education of the public in these matters. Based at the Newbury
Showground, which it owns and operates, in a prime location at the junction of the A34 and M4, the Society
delivers an extensive education programme to schools throughout Berkshire, North Hampshire and South
Oxfordshire, operates a membership scheme, runs an annual ploughing match and local farming competitions to
promote best practice in the industry. However, its most significant event is the Newbury Show, one of the top
Agricultural shows in the country, held annually on the third weekend of September.

The Society employs a small team of staff; this team supports the work of numerous volunteer committees as

Newbury Show receives on average approx. 30,000 visitors over the 2 days, and has upwards of 300+ trade
